    I would say that collie blood in a lurcher is ideal to create a brilliant lurcher their intelligence makes training them a lot easier and when tackling fox have a tendancy to pin them by the neck, avoiding any bites they might have received. Collies have an urge to please their masters so it makes retrieving easier. On a whole i think that a good portion of intelligence is required in to make a succesful all-rounder.

    A Border terrier is not a good dog to start with as they are easy to ruin and usually late to enter. jack russels of a good strain will suffice, patterdales are head strong but they are brilliant dogs if the owner trains it correctly. Lakelans are earlier to enter usually. Patterdalexlakeland maybe?

    rabbits less than chicken but im not sure about hare their bigger. Roast in the oven simply for good tasting rabbit or hare im not not sure about hanging fresh and hung rabbit both taste nice.

    A good strain of jack russel would do the job, my own jack russel bushed well but he bushed along with spaniels at a young age. Plummers are also an option, bedllinton terriers are good dog for rabbitin and bushing ect there good bushers my friend owns 1 thats a demon in the bush and they have the exra bit of speed. Though bedllingtons are pricy
