Yeah love it mate i bolted 2 rats the other night with my ferrets and all i was doing was a bit of night ferreting i dont use hobs though in my eyes there to big for the job sum people do use them i know but i prefer gills

Pups for yah there mad she did well not to get bit by that squirrel most dogs do get bit but she,s done well there mate -
I remember ratting a brick pile and i heard i rat squealing its head of i moved sum of the bricks to find 1 of my little gills chewing the head off this big doe rat the rat was nearly twice the size of the ferret she still dealt with it

Great fun mate you want a little gill theyre better at getting through the holes and nine times out of ten the rats just bolt its only on the odd occassion the rat will take on the ferret. My old russell bitch youst to love ratting with the ferrets my old ferret gill youst to grab the rats by the bum just before they bolted and the terrier would grab em off the ferret great stuff youst to up behind the curry houses up by me

cheers mate we had a good day we got 6 yesterday Fairplay mate iv had a bad week with the dogs 1 of them weeks where its all gone pair shaped wouldnt mind abit of sport like that its hard to find stuff to ground round here. Your dog looks a strong fella

Went out the other night did to an old ash pit i havent done for years to do a spot of night ferreting me and me mates got there about 9ish as a we netted up about 15 holes or more dropped the ferrets in and waited with in a thew minutes i saw a net move and a small kit run out then an adult bolted then 2 more adults this is a very vast spread warren so i like to leave the ferrets in there for a good while til im absalutley happy theres nothing left in the warren plus these are last years ferrets. After i was happy there was nothing in there i took 1 ferret out while i was waitin for the other

It does do ya head in mate but there are people out there who look at us this way ever since i was a kid the looks me and me dad youst to get when we,d be walking down lane with the lurchers and a ferret box over me shoulder, i still get those looks today. You do have alot of people though who are actually interested in what we do but like you say there are alot of people out there who look at us as mindless thugs and they mindless idiots unfortunatley who dont even understand what a lurcher is never mind anything else the media does make it worse we get labelled and put in the same catagory a
