did she get a fright last time she was to ground? too much to young although iam no profesional, if it was my dog i would let the older dog do the work for a couple times and hold her back giving the other dog all the attention, let her get a little jealous and see how it goes

i have seen someone do the "karate chop" method before and when done correctly, although i prefer the neck pull method myself, is just as humane as the neck pull method

belting looking dog he looks too racey to be afirst cross from war i have seen over the years atvb you think? i could never be sure but she is very often mistaken by non hunting people to be a pure greyhound(which she clearly isnt but you know),and some hunting folk say she looks as if she has bull in her personally i dont see that at all, i shal just say she is 3/4 from now on i think

did anyone else grow up in a anti-hunt house hold?
JPTfellterrier replied to JPTfellterrier's topic in Young Hunters Talk
its horrible aint it, everything is so much harder because they dont understand, cant get lifts etc etc its a pain but i swear if they stop you then just say "would you rather me be drinking and doing drugs" although that back fired on me as my mother said she would rather me go clubbing, but my mother is backward me and my boyfriend go lamping all the time its great, we take both the dog and a gun and take turns slipping and shooting....i love it -
ah right but you never know the dog might get off the lead while on a late evening very early morning pursuit but on a more serious note i think hes being rather unreasonable, got lamping permision on two sides of his farm, who thinks i should go for the other side and have 3 sides......he starts it i finish it, but slyly, not in the idiotic arguement way, he will just hear through word of mouth it will be briliant, mwa ha ha ha haaaaa
-
i know hes being pretty unreasonable im just going to pee him off by walking on my permision were he can see me right the way round his land (the only way i can get to the foot path now) then walk along the foot path that goes right infront of the grumpy old twats house but if this "right to roam" thing is true can we legally lamp with dogs anywere we like or is there somthing stopping that
-
not really as i was walking along the edge which is about 50 yards,he could see that as he was spraying in the next field and the rest of the way i was on a farm track used by tractors, thank you i will have a look spoke to the person who has the neighbouring field and they said that when they were renewing the fence he was a right nob and was coming down every 15 minutes checking were they were putting the posts....you know the sort
-
well yesterday i tryed to do the walk i had dont since i was 13 but to get from my house i have to walk down the edge of a field used for crops and then along a farm track which is about 150-200 yards max, and although i was walking round the edge trying to get to the foot path which runs through anouther part of this toss pots land he had a big go at me even though i was really polite and showed him were i came from and were i was going, so my dad went down and he started going at him with all this shit about how farmers dont like people like me going on there land round there then my dad cam

tail wont stop bleeding
JPTfellterrier replied to JPTfellterrier's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
that may be your opinion but my dog wasnt exactly bleeding to death through her tail she had grazed the very end so every time she wacked it off somthing it would make the white tip of her tail go red, not gushing with blood and its now on the mend and well maybe i should have rang the vet but my terrier was fine and when i asked my friend the next day she said she was at a very low risk of her stomach turning and she was in no pain at the time, so maybe i should have taken her to the vet but i would have got charge £70 for them to tell me to take her home and dont feed her as i did...and
