  1. yeah i couldnt believe it.....in one sence it think should i keep it hidden! or do i really want to work with people who penalise you for such things
  2. with terriers i have always gone by one rule....you give em an inch and they will take a mile...and quite often have selective hearing (well myne had )....start training once it has settled in best of luck
  3. well just wondered if anyone else has had a similar experince to myne.....i got alot and i mean ALOT of sh*t for hunting at school and i thought i would never get seriously penalised for it again.....well went for a work experince placement at the national trust, all was fine at the interview.....anyway to cut a long story short i quit the course that i had to do before hand and it turns out i didnt get the placement because they found out i go lamping...im so annoyed and cant believe that it is fair that people can choose not to employ you because of your hobbys.......my life seems full of bl
  4. my terrier had 8 after one day digging, vinigar and a hot match is what i used (hot match on the ars of the tick not the dog lol)

  6. think its personal prefrance, when looking for my lurcher i looked at a wheaton cross but decided on a colliex, simply as alot of people recomended them as a good first lurcher........and myne is great:D
  7. heard they can be hitty missy if they do there job alot.....i also heard that this hancock bloke doesnt work hid dogs as they are "too valuable" and also heard he is breeding dogs for the money which i dont agree with but as i say i just "heard" so dont know if there is any truth in it how much are you paying for this pup just out of interest, if you dont mind me asking!
  8. my mother had one in her car, but did nothing about it for ages thinking it would get out by its self (dont ask i didnt) anyway after a week the car stunk of mouse pi*s and had chewed half way through two seatbelts and a few other things......all in all get a mouse trap in there asap

  10. i have the same problem, you dont know when a pet cat is going to wonder across the street and we are also one pet cat less thanks to my lurcher, cant blame em it runs they chase, instinct really.....all preventions can be taken but sometimes accidents do happen If you are worried about a cat crossing the street then why not put it on a lead? well personally i dont live on a street but you know what i mean someones cat might totter through the park and the lurcher thinks hunting time and the cat ends up the same way myne did

  15. my terrier used to do that, would head for the high hills every time it came to putting the lead on.....practice the "sit" command and pat her on the head everytime she does it and give a treat after shes got that down to a t, after a few days of practice, then you will be able to get a hole of the collar, then reward once the lead is on....hope this helps
  16. im not at home but shal post one later...i mean you can see her ribs but not like majourly, maybe some people like there dogs leaner than others but shal post a pic she gets 3-5 miles a night walk
