  2. are you telling me, that a bull x, was that commited to taking a cow was scared/called off, with out choking it off!? id say 99% of the dogs ive seen, "connected" to quarry need to be choked off! you sound more of a shooter than a dog man?

  6. all jokes aside there are so many holes where we go, you either have to have a dog to mark, or see the actual rabbit go to ground! otherwise, forget it!

  9. i have a 3/8 x 5/8, bull grey, x grey. i know this is a little less bull than what yours was, but she is steady as a rock, will pull anything, if it was legal. also works well with ferrets! she will take fox pre ban, & next slip, catch a rabbit, & retriwve alive back to hand!
  10. we did have a couple more! (just!) the digging is very easy, & we dont like leaving a rabbit, knowing its there!
  11. lurcher wanted for a friend, will be used for mainly rabbiting lamping, & ferreting with a brucie bonus here & there. so must be 100% with ferrets & stock! preferably 24"+. any dogs that maybe diddnt quite make the grade in its chosen vocation? please pm with details! cheers
  12. phil is about 10 ft, so probably about 6ft! lol only joking, more 4ft! easy going though!
  13. so what youre saying is, its not the dog, its the handler??? im not sure i agree. well i think the handler is a big part of a good dog, mark a well bred dog can be spoilt with a foolish handler and a not so well bred dog can be decent with a good handler i also think the handler is a big part of a good un, but if its substandard breeding from untried ancestry youre not putting the odds in youre favour! dai h, knows its in a dog to chase, so a percentage of his customers are going to be happy! just my oppinion.
