    Some people run them "right through" other's like myself prefer to wait until the bleeding stop's then run them until @ 8 week's out of season and then give them @ 4 week's off depending on the bitch, hope this help's !

    An interesting topic !! now I've never been to Ireland so i can't comment on the coursing over there !! but I've coursed plenty on the fen's, In my opinion a "class" dog has to be the complete package !! i'e speed, stamina and a good mouth and a brain !!! I've seen plenty of dog's with enough of one or two of these quality's but lacking the other's, they will catch hare's but are not "class" !!. Now without trying to be "controversial" SIX minute's is a long time even on the fen's !! In my experience a 31/2 to perhaps 5 minute's is probably about "average" on the fen throughout a season, quite

    Hi mate I've got a handy bitch 3 out 3 in the winter, bred from Troy's old dog (J.P "Wilkie" x Kipper's Tip") x an open class Greyhound bitch, a very powerful bitch who's blessed with a lot more stamina than she should have and is also very quick, then I've a young bitch out of "Posh's brother" J.T.s dog x J.T.s old black and white bitch, bit of an unknown quantity as she had bad shoulder injury early on in her first season but was showing promise, and last but not least I've a 11 month bitch out of Macca's Stevie (lucky x mouse) x Posh.     Sorry mate but we never took a camera with the way thing's were, a crying shame in retrospect because she was the ultimate boxer ! I love the Lucky breed myself but like i said before none of them or any other dog I've ever watched i watched J Smith's dog many year's ago who run with the same style but he did'nt come close to her and i never owned her so i'm giving a neutral opinion !! I seen Rosco run for 11 minute's, hat of to the dog for being able to run for that long but in my opinion a real class dog should need a maximum of Five minute's !! only my opinion !! I know the lad's who were running him that day and they reckon he was never the same after that day.
