    110gr on a fox....would ;like to see that, wouldnt be much left of it!!! I shot a bunny yesterday with a 50grain Remington accutip at yards...not much left of it.

    To put this into perspective I have shot a few foxes with my .17 HMR with my best shot taking one right between the eyes at 150 yards (no wind obviously). Obviously .17 HMR is not ideal for fox adn should never be used for body shots and in most areas the FAO recommned that .17HMR should not be used. My point is that if you can kill a fox with a .17HMR imagine the capability of a bigger round. I have now bought a 22.250 for fox for 2 reasons. 1. Much less impact from wind, 2. Body shots 3. FAO are ok with it

    I shoot them all year round on any day of the week, have never heard that they can't be shot on a Sunday. On the general licence I imagine they are the same as any other pest.

    I have for sale a Deerhunter extendable tripod. I bought this tripod in December but due to purchasing a full heinght Harris bipod I have used the tripod twice. Still in original packaging and in as new condition. This is an excellent piece of kit, very light but sturdy when extended. The Alluminium tubes slot together easily adn are joined in the centre of the tube by strong elastic. Looking for £35 posted, I paid £50 for it plus postage.     Millet Tactical 30mm medium/High Rings for sale Used but in mint condition apart from a few small marks. Not required for my new scope. 30mm Uses Weaver 20mm or Picatinny 1913 Rail.     Your right, considering it was a Vixen it was huge in comparison, bigger than some Dog foxes ive seen. The other isnt small but potetially one of last years cubs.

    Well Mcroy and I decided to take his new Anschutz 1730 .22 hornet out for a test run last night. A farmer on one of our permissions contacted him to say that he was noticing quite a lot of fox activity near the farm yard. We arrived at 8pm and set up 20ft up in a barn (nice and warm on the hay) with a great view across 3 fields which were covered in snow. We set up the Prey master digital caller(also new for Xmas) and tried out a few calls settling on the 'pleading chicken' call. With 30 mins we had 2 foxes cross the field at around 200 yards out. One set off in the opposite direction and

    Im looking at getting a Ferret. Anyone in the Wrexham area got one for sale? The reason for so many questions is that I mainly shoot birds (Feathered kind) but one of my farms (Which I aint been to for a few years) is overrun with Bunnies. We shot 25 lamping the other night with my mates air rifle but want to get to the rest a.s.a.p. Ive never been Ferreting and it does sound like the best option. We would be planning to shoot the bunnies as they bolt.

    What do you do with the petrol/diesel mix? Poor it down the hole or soak rags in it ans ram them down the hole? Will it make the bolt or just vacate the warren.
