  1. no i have checked it and it is perfectly sited in and it is a Hawke scope so i don't think the scope mounts are BSA.
  2. yep the gun is new and i also heard a strange ping sound when i fired that i hadn't heard before. Also when you said not hitting the pigeon properly did you mean skimming it?because that is what i thought until it happened to about 4 others
  3. sorry i should have added more info. When i asked for help on shooting woodys i ment by stalking roost shooting etc not decoying.

  4. hi. I have noticed that you are 13...same as me! and that you do alot of shooting, anyway i have just started and was wondering whether you could give me some help with shooting rabbits and woodys. Oh and in your dp did you shoot that rabbit with a lamp? if so did you go on foot?

    thanks

  5. thanks but is there another way whitch i could do myself?i have heard of someone using soap... thanks
  6. I am now the proud new owner of a new BSA Tactical XL and it has already claimed 3 pigeons and 1 jackdaw lol, but when out shooting the other day i noticed that it didn't seem 2 be shooting at a good power and lots of shots at pigeons it just nocked off there feathers. Can anyone tell how i can test its power? It is meant to be shooting at 11.5ftlb's
  7. you can get deeks from any sporting website like this. http://www.decoying.co.uk/?page=show-item&item=17
  8. Thanks, i tried abit of roost shooting today but after one shot the whole flock flew away and when they did come back they landed at the other side of the wood. I would like to know whether there is an alternative to roosting decoys for this because on all the websites i have seen it costs about £50 for the equipment to put up 3 of them.
  9. oh yeah and about 6-12 deeks would probably be ok
  10. When people decoy pigeons for shotguns i think they have them in a certain pattern so they fly in right for a shotgun but for an air rifle people usually just lay them about randomly and you can use any decoy but obviously the flocked are better and a mix of feeding ones and would be more effective to and finally of course you could make a hide out of naturall materials and if u get it right it will be better than hides made out of camo net etc but it will be harder and take longer to make.
  11. What about this http://www.decoying.co.uk/?page=show-category&cat=14
  12. sorry i meant the december issue
  13. I just bought the March air gunner magazine and in there it mentioned that in the February Air Gunner Steve Price was very successfull and he used a bivvy bag. Can any of you tell me what he used it for and what happenned?
  14. Do you just wate anywhere in the wood/copse where they are? Because i was thinking of waiting by a pheasant feeder.
  15. Thanks there is some good info there.
  16. thanks, the ones in my garden are easy enough to shoot but with these i think ill hide up by the pheasant bins and set some traps. thanks
  17. On the land where i should there is a small wood of about 5 acres and it is absolutley full of squirrels eatng all the pheasant food and as i am the only person who goes to this wood they are scared shitless of me so i was wonderig if anyone could give advice on shooting them. thanks
  18. "you have a book on poo" bet thats a Sh*tty read!
  19. I was thinking of buying a BSA Hornet until i found out that it would cost almost as much as the gun for the kit to charge it but then someone said that you can get a PCP in a kit along with a pump etc, is this true, and if so how much would it cost? thanks
  20. ok thanks, i will try that sometime. Also when i go shooting squirrels big flocks of pigeons fly from the trees(Never shot one of them before, they are so wary). If i set up a hide by the trees and waited for them would they come back or would they just move to different trees further away?
  21. Could I decoy pigeons to an air rifle or would they just fly over the pattern? P.SI have never decoyed with a shotgun so i don't know whether they land by the decoys or fly over them. thanks
  22. the single shot gives exactly the same as a multi, get yourself a pump for about a £115 new, keep at it and you'll soon have better things to do than feck about on here They often sell the air arms s200 and other pcp's with the charging gear.
  23. why do think i'm a spie??? I'm not. :realmad:
