    There's good and bad in all dogs same as terriers. I know a lot of people hate on Hancock I never knew the man or see he's kennels but in my eyes you get what you put in 90% of lurchers are bred off failed greyhounds unless your the other 10% and get something that got injured or old, and owners can't be dealing with breeding pups, and sheepdogs are herding dogs and we don't breed lurchers for herding simply for stamina and better bone for all terrain running, or if you want out and out fox dog you would go bull or Wheaton, there just a bit to clever for me after a while I think if they think

    I see what your saying but I wouldn't be scared of failure mare your just walking, feeding and cleaning shit everyday and just wondering, IV had a few dogs I liked and was on the nervous side if they worked or not but it just has to be done, I'm stuck for a few ground dogs send him over and I'll try him for ya ?

    Don't get me wrong I'm not saying leave the dog till mature and he will work, cause that's not the case iv had dogs turn 2 in May and tried that September and still walked from game, dog still has to have heart! just easier to break a pups heart then a mature dog iv reared loads of dogs till mature and still failed, tbh I think an honest ground dog is one of the hardest to get in a dog, tbh most dogs will hunt a ditch most dogs will kill on lamp, out of 10 dogs of each i think the percent of workers of ground dogs will be a lot smaller then rest, and iv had dogs that was looking like they was

    Work was picking up here till this f***ing virus came in, don't do any shooting so couldn't tell you much about feather but country is walking with deer, most of the lads blame the shooters for rabbits going but the lads providing greyhound trainers live rabbits I think done the biggest carnage out catching 30 rabbits 5 days a week population soon declines then, in the town I'm in there's atleast 25 dog hunters and the same probably more shooters.     When I had a small pack of hounds lads used to be nearly fighting to drop there dogs 13 and 14 months old, mad to try them cause there scatty or go mad to kill a cat they see when there out walking.. Different kettle of fish when there in a tight tube and something latched to there nose till you get down..     Lads I fell through a chicken shed roof while fixing it after a storm and got a bacterial infection in my leg been a type 1 diabetic I nearly lost my leg to infection was in hospital from October till Febuary 2020 I had to get rid of all my dogs apart from lurchers now I'm on the mend do you think any of the basterds that got them give me a call and say do you want one of them dogs back or do you want me to breed that bitch and give you pups back. Nah! I sent a springer to England and she's the only one I'm getting a pair of pups back from and gonna cost guts of a grand to get them back here.

    I don't ever drop a dog till there 2 years of age, seen loads of dogs walk cause not been mature enough, it take 2 years to make a dog but only 2 minutes to break them, give them there time and if they have any heart they should work for you

    I think he's around 5 or 6. The fella owns him used to own the bigland line non ped whippets, he got him back for the service. He said it was OK to post him up, but iv seen first x bull greyhound smaller then him

    Yeah they do bigland boy was mated to a greyhound so pups was basically 3/4 greyhound, baghera was out of that litter was race champion but looked like a 55lb greyhound

    I wouldn't mind getting something out of bigland lines again had some sport with my fella. Bred him once to a saluki greyhound but wasnt into hares to get runs was to far to travel and was getting more into just foxes and never took a pup and he must of had low sperm count cause I bred him to Wheaton x twice and a 3/4 deerhound bitch once and my brothers grew and neither of them went into pup

    There was 2 dog pups and one bitch in my dogs litter both dogs mafe 47lb and the bitch was 21lb some difference.

    Yeah there hard to get now. Got the light force blitz for 40 euro other week its been ré wired but working perfect need to polish the lense alright bit rough but dimmer working perfect I also heard the haligeon bulbs are hard to get for them too how true that is I don't know
