  1. Lot of sense spoken here, I was best mates with a lad in the 's, whos mum was a gypsy. Great lad and family. They were far from straight but wouldnt do a friend a bad turn.. There are plenty of scum bags on here who sit on their arse all day waiting for the next dole cheque. The travellers are grafters....thats why they always have money in their pockets..Good post.
  2. I wonder what the average IQ of a lurcher owner is??? Looking at some of these posts I do worry... Are gun dog owners smarter? Some of the quotes are mustard...." I'll shoot em..." etc. etc. PLEASE..... Why do so many have to act like bond villans, it's not an ego forum. Whats so funny is half these tough hard guys will be 17 year old kids with home made tats....That or there is a massive un-tapped resouce of hard man for the next WWF bout.... As I have owned running dogs for 25 years I have met some really top guys with dogs, but there are some real chavs out there..You know who
  3. Hi, How much you looking for and are you willing to post? REGARDS
  4. THANKS FOR THE MESSAGES GUYS, MY WIFE HAS ARRANGED FOR A WORK COLLEAGUE TO HAVE HIM, THAT WAY WE WILL STILL GET TO SEE HIM. GREAT RESULT.... MANY THANKS FOR THE OFFERS. REGARDS
  5. Back in May i arranged for a kind gent to have Sam, only for my wife ( who had been moaning about the dog since the baby came along) to get very upset and beg me not to let him go... I'm afraid that as much as we have tried, he just isnt getting the time he deserves. Therefore he is again offered for sale at £150. Not an outdoor dog, but would make someone a real great work/ pet. Any questions please let me know, he will not be going to just anyone, he has been with me a long time and will be greatly missed, but with the little one he is just finding his nose pushed out.... Ba
  6. Thanks for all the PM's. Will go through them all in time, and have a look at some past posts..Dont want him going to some dog pedler... I'm based in Shropshire. Cheers guys.
  7. I have made the very difficult decision of selling my whippet, Sam. He is 3 yrs old, Laguna lines, KC reg and intact, so of use for breeding. The reason I have made this decision is that we have a 6 month old baby and he is just not getting the amount of time and attention he is used to. He is black and stands about 21" and weights around 28-29 pounds. Very friendly chap, but needs careful introduction to cats. We have a cat and they sleep together, so he is steady . Excellent with stock and loves to lamp, but only lamped a handfull of times last season. Good with other dogs and ferret
  8. Many thanks for all the enquires, they look to be heading over to Stoke....
  9. For all guys who have been asking, I'm in Oswestry, North Shropshire. They are kept together, so may be a Brucey bonus..
  10. I have a very tame pair of ferrets, a small hob, pole cat type, and an even smaller albino jill. He is 2 she is 1 and untried. Very easy to handle and more like cats.... Didnt get to use them this past winter and with a 5 month old son, dont see this changing anytime soon.... No messers please, looking for these to go to a very good home where they will be well looked after.....
  11. The sire looks a real handfull. Be nice to see the bitch, pup looks really solid. If you were closer would be tempted....Good luck with sale.
  12. Fed up of waiting for my present hunting partner to get off his arse, and prefer hunting with pals. Anyone in Shropshire/Oswestry area doing anything and fancy someone else tagging along. Got plenty of ground, so happy to take others out also. Got ferrets and a whippet, also do some shotgun shooting...

  14. Bet they would be a better general purpose dog than a straight bull cross. Could work a hedge, ferret, and lamp. No good on the big fields.... Reckon they could be similar to pure beddlingtons. Who knows....its just other folks point of view.... How come there is always someone who says..i know a chap who had one....thus giving them an immediate authority to write a cross off, because there was never a crap collie cross, was there? Give him a break, if he wants to try it let him.
  15. This is also a class thing.... I have owned and bred Staffies before anyone threatens me with " I no WeRe Yo Liv." If you go round our local estates, as I do to visit some of my best mates, you are tripping over chavs with staffies. Its such a shame as they are great dogs in both temperament and ability. There are few brreds that are as athletic when fit, and I had a leggy KC dog that could do a five bar gate at pace. There are too many idiots who have unfortunatly decided this is the cross for them, spoiling it for others. But it is good to see that some of the more sane and balan
  16. if they arrest you as they do then let you go on the charge they got you in for and were did they get my pms from and photos santa claus Its been pointed out you were harrassing someone on here?FACT1 they dredge through the site and your antics in photos are there for all to seeFact2 that in itself is enough to incriminate yourself without anyone elses helpFACT3 Did you really think the internet was safe and beyond the law? Y.I.S Leeview Thank god...Thought I was the only one to notice. Harassment was what they were looking for, and probally just used the other stuff as it was the
  17. An old dear on my lane has a pure bred Sloughi. Bags of stamina they reckon but will never find out, as everytime its let off the lead it f&%ks off... My mother had an Afgan Hound back in the 's, same origins as the Sloughi and Saluki, which was exactly the same....Nightmare. Could chase itself around in circles for hours...
  18. Bit extreme...Why not castrate and re-home to a non working home?????
  19. Your modern Wolfhound would not have the pace to catch a fit and healthy wolf. They have changed so much in the show ring as have so many breeds. Just look at the modern bulldog to see how far a breed can move in a few hundred years...Would not stand a chance doing what it's ancesters were bred for, just like the Wolfhound.imo... Beautiful animals though, look fantastic in front of a roaring log fire...
  20. Greyhounds should be muzzled in a public place by law. That was the case long before the dangerous dog list.A mate of mine in the 70,s was fined when his greyhound on a lead killed a terrier which went for him despite my pal giving many and urgent warnings to the lady with the terrier to get it back to her.It went to court and he was fined for not having a muzzle on the dog and not for the dog killing the terrier which comes natural to a working or retired greyhound.Which is why you are required to muzzle the dog.The fine then was £5.oo hope this helps. Act and section please mate....
  21. Or maybe he is just pissed off with all the great advice he is getting!!! The guy might not have a fight in him but he doesnt need calling names. Not everybody is as hard as you lot. The best thing what can happen here is. Why dont you lot go round and show him how its done, use your xmas spirit and help him out!!!! Go on lets see one of you come back on here and say, "yep, got his dog back, and gave the guy a good hiding" Exactly what I was thinking....This guy could be a 6'7' bare knuckle gypsy fighter, and he's just going to SORT HIM OUT....Great idea lads, go down the local tra
  22. Ice was born this summer and has not yet been worked. He is a big lad, and should work well. I'm looking to get a small jill to mate with my small polecat hob, so need to make some space. In Oswestry, Shropshire. Please pm for any other details.
