    Well they are both hard in there own right. With an air rifle you have to judge it right and get to them first. Also with a shotgun you need to judge lead and it's harder with a nice high flying pigeon especially with wind behind it. Let's not compare the two it's two totally different aspects of shooting and shouldn't really be compared....

    I saw on the photography forum your picture of the West Coast of Scotland '09.

    I saved it and put it as my desktop background and I have to say it's a lovely image and makes an excellent background!It's just like looking out of my window if I lived there-haha.

    Just to back Hannah up: My Mum has been working training gun dogs for about 25 years (since she was about 15) And she always gives them a bone,not constantly but every so often. In this case I doubt it would make it hard mouthed. Try what Hannah said!

    http://www.herefordshirecountryfair.co.uk/dogs.html Quite a good show,last year there were helicopter rides about 25 quid a go. Very fun and has good working dog activities.

    Sorry to sound like i'm putting a dampener on your idea but... I think before you think you should do a lot of research.You should know Labs are good gun dogs and are popular. Also I'm not sure you will get as much out of your dog for picking up from air rifle shooting....
