  2. Daytime or at night ? Quickset or traditional?
  3. Just wondering whos been using longnets the longest? When did you start and why? I got myself a 50yrd quickset when i was 16 , been using it every winter daytime with ferrets and have caught 5 rabbits at night with this one..i was given two traditional nets since that i haved used at night and have caught 7 rabbits with these so far. I know its not a huge amount. Lets hear from you guys now. Rew
  4. Picked up some rabbiting permission other week so headed down yesterday with the ferrets. Took me 30 mins to cycle 6-7 mile and got caught out in the rain but this quickly stopped as soon as i had arrived at the farm. After a brief chat i headed off over the fields with my bike. I noticed alot of runs in the middle of the field around a few nettle patches. So i stopped to look for holes. I foiund three small holes in a triangler pattern and netted up, i placed my jill on the ground and she scented her way to a hole, squeezed through the net and disapeared.with camera rolling i stood
  5. Hi , me and two friends are cyclling from skeg to nottingham next wednesday but hoping to meet up with thl members along the way. We would also like to hunt, shoot or fish something for the pot. Can you meet the sSc, self siufficient cyclists Kind regards Rew

  8. Thanks for the support guys but still havent been able to arrange a meet up with anybody of here yet. We only have a week left before we take on our trip, so we desperatley need your help. It would be great to meet anybody that hunts in lincolnshire and preferably has permission. Including- shooting, trapping,netting,ferreting spotlighting with or without lurchers. Riverfishing or crayfishing,hawking and finally edible plant or food foraging. Or If you know of any shoots wanting beaters in lincolnshire, we would be very happy to join in. Thanks guys

  15. We cold always meet up on the 18th in skegness if you have a spare couple hours. I hear what you saying the one, this would be the ideal way but im not sure the law will be on our side and this wouldnt always present oppertunties for filming. Cheers
  16. Stil not managed to secure any meet ups yet. We not got long left to organise the trip so if anyone could be off a help please pm me.Would like a day out beating, trapping , shooting, fishing, mushroom foraging. The trip will be filmed by myself and a second camerman for our youtube channel. Good hunting

  20. The self Sufficient cyclist will be biking from seaside resort Skegness back to Nottingham , this is achievable in one day but we will like to meet with hunter/gatherers on our way back. We will be leaving Skegness on Thursday19th September and arriving home late evening Saturday 21st September. If you hunt within a few miles of our route back then please contact me. We are a friendly bunch of guys that hope to learn more from those we meet or just out for the experience. We would like to hunt for any game or fish in season and cook the catch for dinner to give us the energy to carry
