  1. Been a few years since I've been on THL so I thought id share this afternoons outing. Finished my jobs up early so rushed home to get the gear and get out. Been trying out my two new hobs on little sessions recently ( first time owning hobs ). And I've been well impressed, a lot more digging than with my jills but the albinos proving a gem. Worked 2 earths in middle of a cow field with 4 digs and rest bolted to .410, happy days

  5. Last monday we set out to work some nice easy holes in the open, and it turned out to be a beautifull day. The dogs where marking well and the rabbits bolted to the gun nicely and even got a few retrieves from the border. Day ended well with 14 and only one dig, got a few pictures on my dads camera to show too if they work
  6. Cheers guys , i went back a week later but there wasn't the number of pigeons as before i still got around 50 but i found that the bag was made by feral pigeons mostly white ones, not sure why? But for once i put the crows i got next to the pigeon pattern and found it quite effective once the pattern buit up. AAh well the beans are being hit hard now so the sport continues
  7. Managed to get out decoying for the first time this year after i'd eagerly been waiting for the rape field behind me to be harvested. I got out about 12 because of abit of a late night out so i got the hide down and decoys out to find that the farmer was going along the hedges cutting them so i hurryed to move the hide then waved him along to start the action. The pigeons where coming in like crazy, most prefered to land in the tree i was below so many times i found myself craning my neck trying to find the landed pigeons amongst the thick brances and leaves. But over all i had a mint day g

  9. Nah mate the cubs where form the vixen i got, he thinks the vixen he got was the one they bolted but missed in the same valley he shot it. But they dug to the cubs from the hole that vixen was missed.
  10. I decided to sit out in one of the valleys because i'd seen a fox mooching about the morning before. I was sitting at the top of one side of the valley hoping to spy the fox coming out of the wood at the bottom. It was just getting dark when i spotted something moving on the far bank, it seemed to of appeared from nowhere and looked like a hare, but after looking through the scope it proved to be a fox slinking up the bank keeping tight to the ground. it was oocasionaly stopping and looking around so with the next brief stop i took the shot. It dropped instantly and rolled down the hill a fair

  14. I went down south a few days ago mainly to do abit of shooting but took advantage of the chance at some trout. I have never fly fished before for trout only really used spinners but when i got this one the fight was so much better you could feel everything on the light tackle even though i think the fish was about 2 pounds 3 or something like that. Anyway thanks for looking and heres some pictures rainbow.bmp rainbow2.bmp

  16. I got a chance to have a day out with my Dads friends rifle the other day, but because it was the first time i had properly used a rifle i wasn't that confident with it but after a good go at the targets i got comfortable using it, so we went out for a go with it out the pickup. Because there was only one entrance to the field directly infront of the rabbits it made it hard to make a stealthy approach so upon arrival the rabbits all scampered into the nettles next to the dry stone wall so we just parked parallel to the furthest wall and waited it out. After a good 2 hours i managed to knock d
