yes my collie has a similar trait think its the rounding sheep aspect coming threw. saying that as he is geting older he is more full on straight down.he also wouldnt pick a rabbit up out of its seat he would wait to see which way it was going first .so id say its the collie ,i dont no in what way the deerhound works hows the pups the pups are coming on great, cant wait till next year tho to get get them out running

i had an old dog, deerhound/grey/collie/grey cross that when i took him out lamping he used to run down the outside of the beam i was just wondering if anyone else has this with their dog . cheers Tony

pups r coming on. started taking them out at separate times to try and get them retrieving they are not interested when they are together. thanks for the comments
