  3. at the moment i am using a bushnell yardage pro 1000, hope to obtain a more accurate long range rifle next year ,just dont know what to go for. varminter you seem to know plenty do you think my remi700 vssf could be improved on and how would you go about it would like to keep it as 223 cal , then i will be able to do simmilar shooting as you & varmartin , any advice gratefuly received

  5. nice shooting foxdropper good to get both on the same night , the cub's next should not be a prob for you, we were out this morning in scotland for the roe , no joy plenty does no bucks, we found two litters of cubs, dont cause much trouble where they are so will leave them for a while

  11. all in an hour thats good going ,havnt shot that many in such a short time , had plenty 6s 7s but it took all night , like you say every night is never the same , had a couple of night's where we havent seen a fox all night

  15. excelent shooting certainly something diferent a friend of mine once shot one and he said it took three shot's to drop it and he was using a 6 ppc he wasnt allowd to shoot it in the head though did you have the same problem wouldnt mind a go at them my self give me a pm if it happens again and maybe we can arrange something, a few quid in your sky rocket
  16. recently purchaced a buttelo roe call , any tip's on using it and the best time of year to use it gratefully received

  18. My personal bests are hare @ 321 yards with rangefinder ,roe @ 354 yards with rangefinder ,fox @ 282yards with rangefinder. My mate shot a woodie with his .243 last week @ 428 yards , now thats impressive , again checked with rangefinder. nice shooting tex
  19. nutshot the comb raiser was purchaced from my local gun club however rifle-cases.co.uk sell some good ones / rabbiter well spoted part of the lung was showing and my rifle is a 223 using 55gr v-max , as for EWOK'S question i knew where the set was so it was just a mater of getting somewhere in cover and waiting What range on the Fox top right Foxshot ..................I use this ammo and have a photo of a head shot at 131 paces ..............look like you managed to squeak them close in dead ive all fox's were a little over 100 yds ,they were shot just outside the set so there
