i must admit,I put my heart and soul into my workers,and when they fail miserably I have no issues in putting them to sleep.I just cant walk out and feed ,clean ,and exercise a dog day in day out knowing they are not up to the standard I want,ive not sold a dog in years but I have rehomed 2 in the last 4 years,a signim getting soft,..if they have skills that I think will be of use to certain folk I do my best to find someone to get use of the dog but I will not sell to any cretin on a whim

I have a 1st x saluki /greyhound for the last 8 years and hes a very fast dog,weve had 4 minute runs with him once or twicebut he usually finishes the job in a minute or two in small and big land,hes taken ebverything put in front of him,hes had some real bad injuries and has bounced back each time,I am hoping to buy some pup ofsimilar breeding in and replicate his form... Iwas considering offering him at stud but I dont want the attention of the morons out there that seem to exist of late

I know it only too well,theres folk outthere who will pay that for a dog of such breeding and thats great,I just couldnt justify spending that kind of cash when I have family and bills needing to be sorted,if I win the lotto...................STILL..DEFINITELY NOT

saves me ringing up so lol.false advertising and all that ,what?Im not knocking anyone for spending what ever their comfortable with,and MAYBE AT TIMES ,you get what you pay for ,but where dogs are concerned ,it doesnt always work out that way,

well if your not bothered with spending 800 quid on a dog blessings of God on ye,I could nor would not spend money like that on any dog,ive far more important things to sort in my life with that money...different strokes for different folks ,i suppose

that was my next question,is she pure saluki,shes a nice looking dog too...I think you should put a quality greyhound dog on her and send me on a pup lol...sad when they get too old,my dogs days re drawing near too,hoping for another 12 months at least

I got the flu 23 rd december,wiped me out the whole holiday period,x mass day in bed unable to lift my head,chest infection,and sweats,havent ever had it as bad,first day out was the 29th..b*****d of a hoiday period,looking forward to doing a lot with the dogs,still got a chest cough,after steroids,anti b's and inhalers.and im back to work in 2 days ffs

With sonic I started him ferreting,then foxing with a pack of hounds, then day walking up big rabbits,and anything else we fancied,dogs can adapt to any type of work I believe on most grounds if given half a chance,and with success at the beginning of his career,let em be hunters,and they will be hunters,i prefer a big type dog 25'' tts at least,big boned and bred right, 1 dog for all game

no messing but he finds some strange shit,hes found earths dug deep in cover that you couldnt see unless you carried a chain saw,bloody injured birds,killed a pigeon in front of a load of school kids one frosty morning,i was ashamed of my life,coursed and caught another pigeon in a local public park in front of dozen of people,I brought them home but couldnt make out if they were safe,i put a topic up here and it leaned towards avoiding them Those are ceps, also known as "boletus edulis". there has been some very traumatic moments for dog runners there of late I believe,cars smashed, a certain well known person attacked by a farmer with a machette but that was in Holland.I believe they dont thread softly when it does come down,and if it does your a long way from home lol..Id think a bit longer on this and be as certain as can be you try make it out and back without serious distress lol

Great pics, thanks for putting them up jigsaw. The girl was a decent sort by the sound of it. The mother of pups is a nice saluki, did you ever go back to her to see how she was getting it on with her? she died 2 years later,she was getting old when she had sonic,around 7-8.shes a licenced greyhound trainer now with a kennel full of runners

at 6 weeks old with his sister dam of sonic..at the time I wanted to buy the bitch but it was kevins choice as it was his birthday money and his dog of the future,i think he may have better judgement than me,lol..in fairness to the girl I was talking to her and we agreed on 120,when she saw kevin take the money from his pocket she asked what was going on,I told her it was his birthday and he was buying the dog from his money,she went and reduced the dog again to euros,Wasnt that some bargain

Looks a very usefuk dog him jigsaw. Is he a straight sal/grey? yeah,genuine 1st x ,dam pure saluki,sire a coursing greyhound,and the weirdthing is I bought him from a young girl that did a hell of a lot of everything with the dam... I remember the litter and the write up you did when you got the pup, it was good read and you did well with the pup over the years, fair play. I liked the dam very much, she sounded a useful sort, do you still have pics of her by any chance jigsaw ? i think i do,will try find some shortly
