1961?You sure?I didnt think bowhunting was banned in the UK till the 1980's and there was no mention of bow-fishing in the act?Spear-fishing is currently legal but there are moves afoot as we speak to ban it
  7. I will ask someone to get some pics,do a websearch on Badjao sea-gypsies,not the ones who now live around places like Davao, but the real ones down in sulu&jolo,I stayed with them for 3 months once, small kids would manufacture spearguns from off-cuts of wood, triggers from bent nails, necessity is the mother of invention I remeber seeing basic spearfishing-guns in a fishing shop on Gib years ago, always wanted to try for some of those fat grey-mullet that cruised around the boats with impunity What are you going to use yours for Maty?Impulse buy?I think the elastics should be easy to buy o
  8. Might surprise you Maty, but I have used one for small reef-fish,I will ask someone to send me Pics of the native-made ones I used to use, kids used to make them and sell them for the equivalent of 50 pence

  12. Shooters hills excellent for fox mate,I remember that morning well, because of the 7 that slipped out of that bramble patch we didnt catch one, they all went through a a run under the chainlink and ran over a wide-open playing field People would be very surprised the amount of quarry actually inside greater London,we saw roughly 200 rabbits last weekend on a few fields, and outside on the roadside verge several munties grazing near a fox.Good luck in the morning
  13. I remember we once put a terrier into a bramble patch over at Shooters Hill, big old mattress of a place running alongside a chain-link fence, seven fox squirted out in about 10 minutes, the terriers would often catch them in thick cover in allotments,waste-ground etc,I know the sort of ground you work KD and it is indeed saturated with fox
