    Gold,silver,blue even,isnt it down to the action of a distressed fish as well,whats the visibility like underwater?Besides,how much is a goldfish?You can get 50 Roach in 10 minutes for free,and as BRB rightly pointed out,your not introducing even te,porarily and alien species into a waterway Have you tried goldfish yourself as a livebait?

    It would work most certainly,but it takes probably 2 minutes to catch a bucket of indigenous live-bait on the water your fishing,enough for a session,so whats the reasoning behind goldfish?
