  7. Why would anyone want to catch pheasants at the begining of the season? i dnt want to trap them now i wont ideas for traps Never tried it myself, but a 6" pipe about 2ft long closed at one end with mesh and some corn apparently works
  8. Spray the c**ts with neem oil that soon shift em
  9. Not using locators is irresponsible and unnecessary and if you cant or wont buy one and use one then you should jsut forget about ferreting atogether. In your opinion! For the record it is possible to ferret and bag a few bunnies and NOT LOSE a fert without a collar. If you know what you are doing!!! As i said for the youger lads and lads just starting up and dont have a mentor to give them advice then by all means its a good thing. And for lads like me its a peace of mind.
  10. some people these days dont have a clue jp Sadly your right matey.Meet them everyday and they call themselfs gaffers.
  11. Good points mate and i respect your views. However to say its wrong not to use it well i dunno about that. As i have said this my 1st season with one,but all the years without using one i wouldnt say i was wrong. It was joining this site and reading about the lads with locators and advice from stubby and others that swayed me into getting one.I dont regret getting one as i think once i master it i would reckon it a handy wee tool for my team.
  12. I may need to sell the f*****g locator to pay the gas That's nothing Scot mate, I've had to chop up my bow back for kindling for the fire, eat my ferrets, & move into the ferret court! HAHAHAH i got a mental picture of you licking a water bottle in a court
  13. I may need to sell the f*****g locator to pay the gas
  14. LOLO aye were all DOOOMED
  15. Thats the ones with ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND written all over it.Actually thinking about the ferrets were prob worth more than their shares now
  16. I used to use a bank bag to carry mine around lol
  17. After years of ferreting i never owned a locator.Never used a string but kept and still have a solitary hob for the removal of laid up jills.I bought a locator this season.Used it about 4times now and to be honest i dont actually know if im using it correctly. All the talk in other threads about mk1 and 2s 3s just confuses me.In fact there a thread saying that the mrk3 is not all its cracked up to be.Having said that i will give it a season and see how it goes.i do get some lads points about old methods but for the lads just starting out surely using them would save ferrets being left to fend
