Many of our big cities have just as strict or stricter gun law's than the UK... Here is a prime example, a little over a year ago Washington DC ( Capitol of USA) repealed their firearms ban and the crime rate's fell - including gun crimes....Home invasions and carjacking crimes were rampant in DC because the criminal had free run on the unarmed population.... True but maybe some of these twats would think again if they thought there target for today was armed, afterall there just cowards to begin with. Concealed Carry/Pistol permits could be issued after a training course and a background check..... That's how it is done in most of the 40 States that allow concealed carry... Just a suggestion..... getting the gun aint the prob,now ammo for it thats another matter.and would you honestly think it was ok to go and buy hanguns and assault rifles.thats just madness mate.look at dunblane. hamilton walked into a primary school and wiped out small kids with legally owned guns.any person in the uk who would adopt americas gun laws isnt right in the head.i disagree with a lot of legislation the goverment in this country has imposed but i whole heartly support this one.

I like our colonial cousins and america has certainly helped Britain in the past,but i personally would never support the same gun laws as you have in the states.its just not needed here in the uk and i hope it stays that way.
