  1. Thanks you guys who have answered, but still need another two replies, ASAP, So bump...
  2. Hey everyone, I am currently at the stage in life which involves mass amounts of G.C.S.E. coursework. This particular piece is for my design and technology resistant materials project, in which I must design and make an item of my choice (I have decided on a ferret box, as my current one is shockingly shoddy). Part of the "research" stage of my designing is giving a questionaire to the people who it applies to, and considering there are very few people in my entire school who have even seen a ferret, I thought I'd put it up here instead. Also, this was written for people to answer offline, so
  3. By dog meat I presume you mean the meat of a dog?
  4. By cat meat, I presume you mean the meat of a cat?
  5. Your best bets would be to find out who did it, then target them.
  6. Why do you need to freeze them? You make it sound as though it is necessary. Chuck em in I'd say
  7. Woodshavings in their mouth? hmm... Why not get some string or something and suspend it from above, so they can still eat it, but it doesn't get covered in shavings. They will probably find it really fun aswell and end up playing with it.
  8. It seems to be completely the opposite when you are waiting to get them. Time seems to drag on forever...
  9. Flushes them out you say... would it work with rabbits and nets? Or does it just drive them out, rather than bolt them?
  10. Awesome, they're well nice I counted 12 from the first pic, thats quite a pile!!!
  11. surly you could treat the wood under the lino to stop it from rotting away?
  12. It's most probably what they would eat in the wild, how do you know there not poisoned because mice usually take the posion back to the nest? i know they arn't poisoned because no poison has been used. sorry if that was a bit unclear
  13. My grandad has discovered a HUGE mice infestation under his shed, and has already trapped a few. Wondered if they are Ok for ferrets to eat because there are loads of them! Obviously im not gonna feed them posioned ones, Its the spring powered conventional traps being used.
  14. Ok, thanks for the info man. How can i get it chrono'ed? cant do it myself im guessin?
  15. could i maybe change the mainspring? would that help in anyway?
  16. lol, so the pics were useful after all. anyway, now it has been identified is there a way i can quieten it down a bit?
  17. Right, after some heavy contemplation i suddenly realised my mobile has a camera!!! ... either that or i couldnt find the cable from the phone to the pc... But anyway i have pics now. and the number was actually 59204 These any help?
  18. its a break barrel, as i said earlier... have to check the numbers again but it was something like 52??? rear sights are adjustable if you've got a screwdriver lol
  19. ok, cant find a name... but it does say "made in hungary" so if there is a scecifically hungarian make then its probably that. no pics im afraid, found the camera but it was in three peices and irreparable...
  20. your all in anticipation for the pics arnt you? you'll have to wait till 2moz im afraid though, cant find the bloody camera and im knackered. I'll have another check for the name too.
  21. break barrel, .22, just wood. Nowt fancy in other words
  22. Iv got absolutly no idea, the guy who gave me it didnt know either. Its fairly old though... I'll put some pics up and hopefully some of you rifle buffs will be able to identify it
  23. Just got me an old .22 air rifle, been out with it tonight and tried it on some bunnies and its loud as f**k. If i dont hit the first one in the field then all the others are gone and i dont get another shot and oi go home empty handed. Is there a way to decrease the sound? Sounds like a spring or something, but not too sure, 1st air rifle so Im a bit crap when it comes to them. Cheers
  24. An accessory no hunter can go without. With a flick of It's tail any ferret can be more efficient.
  25. No it doesnt, you obviously dont know!!! It shows the they are doing wrong! Nose flickings as bad as walloping a ferret ,they respond to kindness not being flicked around the nose The book I've got says you are meant to grab it by the scruff of the neck, lift it close (not too close!!!) to your face and make a high pitched noise then blow sharply on it's nose. Personally i think i have too much self respect to do that (in front of people at least!). I'd look a right prat!!!
