spend as much time with your Dad as you can buddy and hope all is well. i go out huntin with my 18 year old lad every weekend and try to spend as much time with him as poss as ive always thought that life is too short. bet not many dads are as lucky as me to have a son with the same interests. I.E. hunting with hounds, terriers,lurchers,ferrets, fishing and dog shows Thinking of you and your family.

WENT OUT TODAY AND GOT 19 WITH FERRETS AND GUN. WAS MINUS FOUR BUT GOOD FUN TO BE OUT. FERRETS WERE WORKING AWAY GOOD STYLE. BETTER THAN SITTIN IN THE HOUSE EH ?.

I just bought two of these belts from Dave and they are great gifts for pals. Don't know about a whip but they can be used as terrier couples, hound or dog lead and collar and also for hobbling a horse. Thanks again Dave.

our old cindy bitch was a collie greyhound and still catching on the lamp at 14. she started to take fox at age 5. never heard her bark and she lived untill 17 1/2. crackin old bitch.

i stripped her coat last year and it was very difficult to do as it wouldnt come away and was sore for her. i dont want to use a red dog as ive always bred russells and want to try and toughen her coat up.

But if the dog was lost or stolen how would anyone be able to identify it from a diy tattoo? good point there. I suppose i'm quite lucky in the fact that i do terrier racing all over and most people know my dogs and everyone that knows me, knows that i tattoo all my dogs. Also i have pictures of all my dogs on my website which i would like to think would help me get them back if the need arose. Ihave a nice looking working russell bitch. Her coat is quite dense but soft and wooly. I want a good rough coated stud dog for her when time comes but someone has told me that i should go for a tight smooth coat to improve the jacket of the pups. Can anyone advise me if this is right or wrong. I want good tight rough coats like a lot of Lakies have but don't want to go away from Russells.

I bought tattoo pliers and digits 0 to 9 in USA a few years ago and do all my own pups with 08 for 2008 and will do 09 for this year so that i can recognise them in years to come but dont register them with anyone. I do the pups around 5 weeks old but would be willing to do anyones dog if required. It takes about 5 seconds to do. FIFE area.

WHEN OUR HOUNDS CATCH A SHOT FOX, THEY BREAK IT UP AND EAT IT EVERYTIME. OLD LOGAN THEN CARRIES THE MASK AROUND FOR THE REST OF THE DAY HANGING FROM HIS BIG JAWS. BRAWWWWWWWWW.

Ihave 2 of the old Gray Deben boxes that i used today whilst ferreting. they are only picking my collars up to a distance of 4 to 6 feet. I have tried all 4 of my collars and each one is same. Anyone help or know of someone who can help. I changed all batteries but still no joy?. 2 collars are 8ft and 2 are 15ft. Do these boxes ever need calibrated or serviced. I have had them a long time. p.s. bolted 14 and dug one today. was good fun.

Think you will find it impossible to get cover for working terrier and lurchers buddy. will get cover if they cause ought but NOT for them. Ive had working terriers and lurchers for years and vet not interested in ought but cash. I tried to get S.A.C.S. to insure me for terrier racing and after about 10 calls to chase them up i found out that they would not cover me. They kept saying that they would contact me but did NOT even come back to me. I would advise you to go elsewhere in my opinion especially after all the bad press they have been getting on here recently. Read the past few weeks

One of the best dogs i ever had and i gave it to a guy in Usa for Bobcat and Racoon. Here you can see him with a mean Bobcat. He is a 14" Russell called Buster and i was given him by a mate due to his dislike for cats.

When our kids were wee, we used to take them for a week to flamingo land and it was brill. One pass covers all your time there. We used to do the theme park 1st hour in the morning before the crowds came in and then we would go outside during the day to see different places. Then we would come back for the last hour in the park as all the crowds had gone. I liked it as much as the kids. Good pubs, entertainment, food etc on site.

There was approx 300 people turned up for meet which was excellent as we were not to hunt due to severe frost. Luckily with me doin terriers for them every week, i know the huntsman better than anyone and i had a sneaky suspicion that he would accidently let the hounds drop into a lovely whin bank on the hack back to kennels. As soon as he blew for home from the village car park, i shot around to the kennels to watch them coming in. As hounds approached the whin bank, WHAM. They started screaming and they were going hell for leather. I think it is the voice of these beasts in action that got m

I would say, IF IN DOUGHT, KEEP YOUR DOGS OUT. If brock is about you should be able to find nearby trees scratched with their claws. if your near a fence, run the back of your fingers along the undersde of the wire and you should feel any hair stuck to the wire. normally the run up to the hole is worn like the M1 motorway. is their any dung pits along the run. is their any paw prints around. if yes, are they fox, brock or what.

Well, after spending new year getting up every 2 hours to make sure that the wee pup got fed i'm tired. Ihad to make it wee after every feed. She is doing well now. Mother cuddling her and started to lick her. I have decided to call her Diamond after the price that Robin hood and his merry bunch have charged me. £300 was total vet bill, so in reality i suppose this is reasonable. Mate in Arboath told me that his friend got hit for almost a grand for a cesarian on his bitch. I'm just glad that mum is ok as she is a brilliant worker and great temperament. This will be her last litter.Iwill put
