    I personally think that rather than phone him, you should appear in person and meet him. I find that if you Dress neatly and have a friendly approach, then you will gain a lot more permission and once you get it then hopefully you will be invited onto neighbouring land. Good luck.

    JO, you will be missed by all. JO was a good friend of mine and i feel very privaliged as her son Philip has given me a copy of My hunting world, written and signed by Jim meads. This book belonged to Jo and every time i pick it up to read i will remember her and the good chats that we used to have. RIP JO.

    Hindsight says that i should have run my drain along the outside of my kennels. I put mines runnin from kennel to kennel to kennel in the centre of the run. Problem with doing this is that if one dog takes ill, the illness will pass through each run where as with the drain outside this is prevented. Also made the drinkers and the block walls high enough so that the Terriers cant piss in the dishes or on the metal work. Only wood i used was on the roof but this is covered with Tylex, felt and then Tiled so should last for years. Also bag rubbed the block inside before painting it. Always use

Have automatic water drinkers and polystyrene filled beds with concrete on top to keep warm in winter and cool in summer, similar to bottle beds for foxhounds. Done the electrics as well with low wattage bulbs and radio plays all day to keep dogs happy. www.scottishterrierracingteam.co.uk

    do you know Duddleys owner. he writes for earth dog magazine and also writes articles for full cry. has quite a few well scarred plott hounds. i also hunted at west palm beach for coyote and then up to midland kennels and then onto bear creek, Newnan. was a great trip.

    Duddley is his name an he is as crazy as his owner. i'm going back out in october to hunt with him. Hes a nice big dog eh?.

    just back from USA an stayed with a guy who has a first cross pit bull x border collie that he uses on pig an bear. just wondered if anyone on here has a cross like this as he is a very handy dog.

    I will run terrier racing but don,t have a lure for lurchers as i gave it to a guy from alnwick who is trying to start a racing club. I ran lurcher racing at the hunt kennels last year at my show and very few would run their dogs. Terrier racing always goes down well. www.scottishterrierracingteam.co.uk
