  5. there is a stag in worban abbey that is just over 600lb but thats a farm fed up deer, but think this is world record.
  6. lol you tell me where theres 600lb stags ? lol il say what i like preban who are you to say other wise , it wasnt illegal was it preban? ive been on loads of stags /bucks that stand for dog and you get in there and get them down, red stag single handed ive never seen it il give you that, once down on ground you hold head down/stick antlers in ground and stag /buck arent going/getting back up, dont think youve done much the way you talking ...sorry dont mean to offend.
  7. to be honest mate a fallow buck in the rut will take some pulling over , and when they face the dog 9 times out of ten your in there too getting it down , but once thier down and like you said before you keep their heads down your good. lol The fallow bucks can be pretty tough too, I have seen a bullx dragged 1/4 mile across a field and then disappear into a wood and come back with a mouth full of fleck and nothing else. one of my bull crosses i got at moment had her 2 top holders snapped off with a game fallow buck ,when i got to her in was throwing her round like a rag doll ,it charge

  12. What I have found is that the stags can run with pretty much anything hanging off them but as soon as something has a grip of the head, neck or ear they soon come tumbling down. SPEP as you rightly say once the head is is over or down they don't get up again ... seen a dog with a nasty chin wound that was gored. once you got their head down and held down its pretty much over ......he says lol

    hunting ban

    I rather suspect the credit crunch and people losing their jobs has rather more impact. Let's keep a sense of proportion. The hunting ban hasn't 'destroyed' the bit of the country I know well in the slightest. sad attitiude that mate, it doesnt effect me either in the way your meaning, but united we stand and all that keep it in proportion.
