  5. This might come as a surprise to you Wingnut...... but I don't give a flying f**k what you think!!! As for your I've killed hares from Caithness to Kent rant.... I don't think I'm alone when I say.... Who gives a f**k!!! My auld pappy use to say...... Look around you and see which ones the dick, there is always one..... if you cant see him... must be you. Anyhow, as a mere guy who doesn't need to brag where I've killed hares and alas, since this f*****g thread is aimed for me, I'll give my opionion as I feel.... The dog never showed me nothing special.... was boring... Aye it finally kille
  6. just a few of mine for this season 27 1/2 tts 26 tts 10 month 26 1/2 tts
  7. Maybe so but Iam not the one spouting shite about lamped hares being "easy" etc etc and I dont shout about my dog being the best either so why would I want to try and prove that? Iam quite happy with them and there capabillitys which does me. a counldn't agree more if your happy with your dogs then who cares what anyone else thinks but ask yourself this if you ran 6 on the lamp and then 6 in the day with your dog joe which would you kill more of daytime hare or lamped hare
  8. i cant see no daywalkers taking you up on the bet that there dog can take 6/6 on the lamp or even the lads who's dog have killed 6/6 in the daytime would not bet on them doin 6/6 in the day to many factors come into play but a bet a few will bet there dog against your dog on hares on the lamp or in the day
  9. come on any body who thinks hare on the lamp are as hard as a day time hare are mad ive seen dogs nail 3/3 hares on the lamp that get run in a straight line in the day
  10. The dogs don't kill the Deer. They catch and hold them. Sounds like you know an awful lot about it though!!! its right to course hare but not deer i disagree there both meet as long as you eat it ii dont see the problem killing them and leaving them in a dyke is wrong
  11. the deer may jump hedges but so does tthe dog or goes through them if a hare goes into a wood it is much harder to keep on then a deer deer re easier to spot make more noise plus a hare can get were dogs can't and what about a hare going to ground or bolting in pipes a deer is is lot easier to spot and keep on aslong as the dog has the deer in sight it has a good chance and like i said before i also think its to do with size its easier tlo strike on a deer than it is a hare and i also think a hare copes better when its been pressuredb
  12. i have seen clear and redy brown discharge but the redy brown was normally later in the pregnancy if it persists or your worried see your vet
  13. thats suprized me as i thought if a dog was able to take a deer in the day he would have been able to take a hare. in your opinion/experience what do you think the hare as that the deer doesnt to make him harder to catch. i would say size it is easier to take something that is about the same size as a dog compared to a smaller hare the dog has to get down and be precise or it misses i have taken both in the day and i would say fallow are easier
  14. .22 caliber no multishot with it tho cheers

  17. i would definately say they are far from thick anybody that lives with one will tell you they aren't thick the three quarterbred i have now that spend's most its time indoors know's what am going to do before i do she let's herself out to go for a piss plus anybody thats seen one keep an hare away from cover will know yhey aren't thick but they can be persistant in most thing's they do but as pot fillers there great
  18. Depends where you hunt mate...... If you can see the nearest fence within the horizon...... no good. yes cause they can only hunt on the fen foolish comment there's plenty of saluki and saluki crosses that can kill field and fen and it will take a bit more than a fence to stop one when it's behind something and my two do fox when i come across them but i don't kill them week in week out so i can't say my dog's are out and out fox killer's but they manage fine when i run them
  19. elaberate...... it's already been said it tests for hgc an that isn't present in pregnant dog's
  20. one of my pup's that my relation has is 10 month old that was pretty bad he'd come with in arm's length of you but you wouldn't get him on a lead then he'd walk but always stay that couple of steps in front he just bared with it sometime's it would take 30 min's of just stood there not moving till he came back the more you shout and scream the more they'll take the piss but he bared with it he's coming on a lot and the very worst thing you can do is lose your rag when it doe's come back you hit it, it won't come back the next time it's off one of the pure's my dad had 35 year ago would somet
  21. When is anyone ever going to be that desperate in this day an age to depend on the dog to provide food? If i was that hungry i'd go and fill a trolley up in tesco and leave ... Fact of the matter is a good bull has more drive and tenicaty than a good dog of any other breed. Fact. That is why they are bred to into lurchers. You chase rabbits, some people chase foxes, SO THEY GET A DOG FOR THE JOB. Would you give your collie x 10 foxes a week, week i no there not but if they was a bull x would not be the dog of choice like i've said to a digging man / lamper there maybe are great but if
  22. i to get mine from tip and sometimes from scrap yard you just pay them the scrap money
