    The grey of 50 year ago that lads coursed with we’re big strong dogs I try getting a some pics there not that big strong today dogs run different doubled I agree grey or galagos want to put the turn in be infront both got a chasing mentality but a saluki won’t it’ll sit back not put the turns in and try getting the kill using its head if that was a grey or galagos did that they’d be no good culled wastage

    A coursing grey bred to get there put bends in for points I don’t no what old coursing greys were about your area 50 year ago but round here they were big strong animals huge back legs 30 odd inch not lightly framed what galagos I seen doubled up and there chasing just like a grey they don’t work the hare just pressure it not much coursing brain and Salukis and saluki hybrids should be as tough as a running dog comes they shouldn’t be injury prone There solid animals regardless if they 28 TTS and strong or a little 23inch light bitch

    100% two crows and at cover they hate a dog that’s tight just following when you go to the grey the hare just set the dog up at cover make it miss but it’ll be close lol and gone and after loosing 50 hares that way it might if your real lucky realise the error of it’s ways but I wouldn’t hold my breath

    I have been told not listened then realised they was right regarding they grey mate lol still killed plenty but wasn’t were I wanted to be you say about smaller fields with the more grey in there I found I didn’t kill aswell in smaller fields unless kick ups more saluki in there once the get there right good brain work the hare stay close as it’s hedging pressure at the right time that got better result Once crossed to a grey like a croc behind hare snapping diving in but a good hare on a small land you cant give it twenty yards or it’s gone and all the diving in missing loosing g

    For lamping max I don’t think you will get a better half cross I seen a good few half saluki grey dynamite on everything on the lamp a great all rounder

    I’d rather a slower dog can read land with a good coursing brain Rather then a pusher You go back to a grey they be good killers snipe plenty but haven’t the brain patience for the real good ones the grey today are different to 50 year ago They was big solid dogs now the more to sprinting

    I’m same two crow I wouldn’t go back to a grey been there good killers but you start loosing brain and getting to much speed better linebred with the odd outcross to a saluki there’s older men with a lot more experience think that’s the way aswell and you learn as you get older to listen to your elders lol

    Ballyregan Bob was put over angie Tepe gawra saluki I think out a that litter a dog called beanie got put to swoop direct merlin eve good producer that’s how cualdfields joe was bred From what I heard read he had a similar style to swoop lucky was was out of joe and a bitch called seal

    The question was how many pure breeds can kill hares sandy mere put a pic of a galagos running a hare in dry terrain rough ground which is different to what we run I was wondering what they like over here as sandymere has them I thought he would no like I have run whippets and I no they blow up after a couple mins can’t take 100yd slips and wouldn’t even last a winter on big wind swept land without shivering to death lol good little snipers though
