  3. HELLO ALL, I HAVE MANAGED TO HATCH ABOUT 250 PHEASANT CHICKS, THEY ARE ON CHICK CRUMBS AT THE MOMENT, AT WHAT AGE (IN WEEKS) DO I START FEEDING THEN GAME GROWER PELLETS? REGARDS CHRIS

  5. HI ALL, I AM A LAND OWNER AND I AM THINKING OF APPLYING FOR A SHOTGUN CERT, WHEN THEY ASK ME WHAT I WANT THE GUN FOR AND I SAY I WANT IT FOR VERMIN CONTROL WILL THEY ASK HOW MUCH LAND IVE GOT? I ONLY HAVE 10 ACRES - WOULD THIS BE A PROBLEM? MY PARTNER IS A MANAGER OF A MAGISTRATES COURT (CIVIL SERVANT) , WOULD SHE BE ABLE TO BE THE COUNTER SIGNATORY FOR ME?   6. i'll back you up on that, 12k on the car 4k on parts in just two years (this doesnt include labour as i done everything myself) transfer box x 2, diff, viscous coupling etc, 3 seperate fuel pumps on the td4, one in tank cost me £250, car was just out of warrenty, i learnt the hard way...............................

  9. just put 400 ringneck eggs in the incubator, will be due to hatch in approx 3-4 weeks, whats the best age to sell them? how much for each? regards chris (south wales~)~
  10. check the bulkhead for rot - common problem, chassis for rot, nothing else really,
  11. my buff cockeral had a similar thing, turned out he had a little feather stuck in it, prised his eye open and poured a little salt water into it, he was fine the following day, he was landed, he could see his girls again....
  12. i have just bought a 1500egg incubator, i also have a brinsea polyhatch - that was a good one but couldt fit enough eggs in, i even made onem out of an old fridge, digital thermostat, it holds about 400 pheasant eggs, manual turn (pain in the arse), my hygrometer broke so i bought the 1500egg one then that will do everything for me,

  15. he probably thinks of it as a 9month holiday.... im sure thats why half of them do it, and all at taxpayers expense.. these prisons shouldt have wardens, they should run themselves, no electric just water and scraps pushed through a hatch in the wall to them, and tell the 'ring'leader that all dead bodies must go into the hatch for removal no questions asked, this country would soon sort itself out, but its never gonna happen as long as we've got braindead people making decisions, if i ever make it to government then look out

  18. im in port talbot, only seen one rabbit over the last year and thats gone now, have'nt seen it for 2 months or so, havent long bought some land and i have abit of rough so i might start a breeding program soon.

  20. cheers for all the replies soon has we hear off the vet we'll let you know had a lurcher bitch when i was a kid, had distemper vet had given her antibiotics and such, went up to check on her one morning she had eaten half her rear leg, distemper affects the nervous system and apparently this was the cause of it... whats the cure?????? we got a jack russel that keeps nibbling herself raw, her legs especialy, the vet done tests and reckons she's got a high flea blood count? they reckon that if a flea or mite bites her then her skin flares up she's getting on now, this will pro

  23. yeah i think its a good idea! in a few weeks im gonna start digging some warrens, then try and introduce some rabbits onto my land, give it a few montha and i should be able to start shooting my own rabbits on my own land
