Had the dog out a couple of day's ago,he did a bit and we came home.This morning he yelped when the kids were messing with him,after checking him over i found a puncture mark on him,around the front of his shoulder.There's no sign of blood or anything nasty,so i washed it and sprayed it with some iodine.Anyone had similar injuries with there terrier's? and how did you treat it?Bill

I asked this same question on another forum,apparently you have to change the breech as well as a few other bit's,so it would be easier and cheaper to either keep it as a single shot,or buy the multi shot version.

cheers for the advice guys, got him done wednesday morning picked him up a few hours later and not a single problem. Vet said he's fertile for another two weeks and that was it.

Starts and runs fine when pull started,No spark when electric start is used Could it be that the starter isnt engaging ,can you hear the engine turning over when you press the button or just the starter motor Turns over fine with good compression just no spark .doing my head in Sounds like the starter motor is dragging current away from the coil pack,had starters in the past that would spin like a good un off the engine,but once you put a bit of load on them they die,or kill everything else couse they are taking all the pwer from the battery.I'd try phoning an auto electrician an

Had a similar thing happen with me son.Couple of lads i shoot with offered to take him clay shooting.They are members of a small clay club (70ish members) he took the morning off work and got his gear together.When they got there they asked to sign him in and were told "we don't allow visitors anymore" the two mates of mine pleaded but to no avail.Stuck up f*****s, lad only wanted to have a mornings clays and was willing to pay.Two mates told them to stick there memberships up there arse and have wrote to the secretary and asked for there membership money back.

Phoned vet,said they wanted £50!! to vasectomise the hob,and maybe another £10 if he need's medication for wound infection.Anyone else had there hob done this way and what did it cost?

Really don't want any kit's,so i was wondering whether i should have the hob vasectomised,so he can still mate the jill without any results,or whether i should have the jill neutered? Anybody been in a similar position,and what course of action did you take?

This is NOT a begginers bird....... if you intend flyng free with a sparrow hawk without any previous experience you will either end up loseing the bird or killing it. Weight management is EXTREMELY difficult on a female spar and would be almost impossible for a male spar (other than with very experienced falconers). If it is to be your first falconry bird DO NOT GET A SPARROW HAWK If you have the experience then my apologies for posting Spot on,took the word's out of my mouth.

Well done to you and the wee bitch,my young fella mixed it with charlie over the christmas holiday (protecting gamebirds) he looked like quasimodo around the face,but doesn't have a mark on him now.

Don't think you can go far wrong with Daystate rifle's,mine's 9 years old and shoots as sweet now as the day it was bought,as you see it here its about 91/4lb,but handle's well.

Just had to cull 2 of my rare breed hen's.I have been using a natural wormer on my hen's,but 2 of them got sickly over the weekend.I had a similar problem last year,and took one of the hen's to a vet.He told me it was a heavy infestation of worm's and gave me panacur and teramycin,problem sorted,but cost me thirty quid (22 pound for the consultation and eight pound for the medication).Phoned the same practice yesterday morning,and asked if i could buy the medication from them to treat the hen's that had the same symptoms,i was told "the vet cannot prescribe medication without a consultation",

Yeh i enjoyed it,not sure about showing the terrier's ragging the carcass though.Think it would of been better to leave the filming after he despatched the fox with the pistol.jmo,entertaining and educational programe though.

Not saying anybody is right or wrong,but after doing some research on this matter, this is what i learn't.A dog being a canine,same as a wolf.After making a kill,the first part of the prey that is eaten is the innard's,stomach,intestine's,liver,etc,(high nutrition and easily digested).Now,most of the prey they kill is likely to be herbivore (vegetarian) so,a large percentage of there meal will be vegetable matter (grass,leave's etc).If we really want to feed our dog's a natural diet,then surely it must contain a percentage of vegetable matter.I feed my patt,lurcher,and ferret's,on jwb,mixed wi

Must admit,most of the wheeler bred dog's i've seen look very "staffy".There was a lad on the patterdale site who owned one,seem to remember him posting a pic of the pedigree.Can't remember his name though.

My dog's do it all the time,i wouldn't worry about it.If you've ever stung yerself,you'll notice that once your hands get warmer it start's itching,so it's the same for your dog.
