    just gettin one my self 8 weeks old. by any chance did anyone get there dog from hexham as mine is a repeat mating from two years ago.

    i have 3 tier 5ft hutches. i have two 3 month old hobs in one hutch. a polecat jill with her kits in another and three albino jills in the other. however i want to keep the big hob sandy out the litter. if i put him in wit my two albino hobs. will they be able to live together all year round.

    handy cross if your just after rabbits is bedlington whippet or collie whippet cheaper to feed due to small size as well and gets a little less negative attention from the cops make sure whatever you get is bred out of workers or you could be disapointed with the results. i agree i have a beddy whippet grey. perfect for rabbits

    how do you pack it away correctly. as i hacve only started to use a longnet and everytime i put it away i tangle it.

    when i let my 5 month old pup out with ferrets she just fllows them round then lies down and lets them climb on her.i have been leting my kit out with her since 8 weeks and the kit likes her so she does not bite the dog. now the dog goes up to all ferrets and lies down. so yesterday i let the for month old jill out with her. which bit her twice. but she still keeps going back to them. any ideas.

    i have a 5 month old 1/4beddy 5/8whippet 1/8grey. I think she is a great dog however she is only 18.5tts. This is going to make a perfect bushing and ferreting dog and will be ok on the lamp. Now i am thinking about getting another bitch to work along side her. it would have to be good for the lamp but stll quick off the mark for ferreting and daytime stuff. nothing bigger than 24tts. It would also have to be able to retrieve shot hare. what cross would you get or if you have had a dog that would do this could you please say what cross it is and post a photo.

    I have heard a lot of people talking about their old dogs and say she was just a bit to small for hare. Has anyone on here had a dog under 23 tts that caught hare pre ban? was it just a one off or did the dog catch them often?

    20 - 22 tts i reckon chears mate i hope this is true as my pup is also 17 tts and is 20 weeks. i am hoping she makes a height like this. as i was worried she would only make 19 tts thanks for the advice.

    what age did you first take your dog out for a mooch or on the lamp. and what age did it get its first rabbit. i have a beddy wippet grey, 20 weeks old and dont know whether to work her this winter.

    had 6 but my [bANNED TEXT] took two away. now the three of the four i have left have stopped eating and are passing blood.since i cleaned there cage 2 days ago they have been the same since.i dunno if there has been a bit of jays fluid not wiped up properlybut i doubt it. they are just lying around. i am forcing water into them. they have been like this for nearly 48 hours. any ideas what it could be

    I have found the same thing mate- I expect very little from a ferret in it's first year. That being said, some of my slowest starters have turned out to be the best. exactly the same here my albino jill was crap first year. thought she would never work and now shes my best.

    i have only had one ferret that worked good at 6 month. the rest have messed around and been better the 2nd year.

    i have been wondering this my self as mine is slowing down and it is 15 tts and 15 weeks

    i do exactly the same with my 14 week old pup. too young to run. but there again the dog might just be away for a walk after ithas cooled down. no harm in that.

    which do you prefer. i have a beddy whippet greyhound pup. i am going to get another one but i dont know which cross to get.

    they will start to eat it when they get hungry. and i normaly wait till 12 weeks before feeding dry

    just wondering what you prefer to work. polecats, sandy or albino. and do you prefer male or female. just i have a litter of ablinos at the moment. want to try working hobs but dont know if they will get on or whether they will just fight. i know the father was a good worker but i never tried him with another hob. opinions please.

    cheers for advice. just thought i would let you know i pick my pup up on sunday it is 1/4 beddy 1/8 greyhound 5/8 whippet. mother is 22" father is 19" so hope the pup will be about 21"
