  1. Had a target using some steel just to see what effects of the .223. I'm using Hornady Vmax 55gr, I think soft points would have gone through. Still makes a mess of the steel tho.

  4. Just wondered what peoples thoughts were on it? I personally think it's a good read, a lot more stuff in relating to keepering. It's even better as it's free.
  5. why? Basic hygiene really. Frozen meat out in hot weather will be teeming with bacteria and flies in no time. I don't see anything wrong with giving very small bits of frozen meat you'd know they'd eat pretty sharpish, just not large parts/whole rabbit that would be lingering about in the heat growing god knows what all over it. I understand that its best to keep the meat fresh as possible when feeding, but leaving it in there for a day won't hurt. You don't see wild animals passing there nose up because it's got a bit of nose to it.

  21. Your best bet would be to find a local fly water that does day tickets, and book a lesson there or ask the owner of the water if he wouldn't mind showing you as you have never done it. Most people will be glad to help someone get into the sport.
  22. Most labs will hit thick cover when there young and eager they soon learn to avoid when they can as they get older. Like others have said springer or cocker would be best suited.
