As anyone got or used .17HMR they seem to be getting very popular now days.Since buying one just under 2 years ago my old trusty 22 rimfire has been made redundant never take it out then again no need to The one i bought was the marlin varmit not to pounds and can take a knock or two sak sound mod 3x9x40 mounts supplied with rifle and ready to go jobs a good un.Anyone with any view on this calibre???????

  5. I've been invited on saturday by our neighbouring keeper to go on there hare shoot with the lurchers to catch the wounded its a pity but we've got the saluki coursing club coming on ours. I would of gone just to catch the suffering don't like shooting em but everyone to there own

    Lamp ideas

    I use the lightforce striker it takes some beating as a all round lamp . Had the lazerlite a few years ago when the warrener was raving on about em but found it not powerfull enough when lamping big fields off the back of truck .The only thing with the lightforce the filters can be fiddley putting on or off in the dark :wacko:

  10. hello boys and girls, had working dogs since early teens at present time i own 4 lurchers 2 terriers a cocker and a springer.Got to know a few folks on here finding the website very addictive i live in the south but originate from the lincolnshire area currently a employed keeper happy hunting and thanks to the lads concerned for aq good website

  13. worked in herefordshire keepering for a while not far from wales not many munty's there only a hand full saw 1 roe in a year but plenty of fallow no big coat hangers though dont know why?

    yes shaun he does still come on here, he's been working away alot at the moment but he's on here when he's at home. that's if he's not eating chinese or venison burgers :search:
  23. There's alot getting about in the dorest area now. Keepers are having there work cut out trying to keep them out of there game covers at night they say that over a period of nights they completely wipe out the crops and root up holes all over the fields. I inquired about hunting them and the keeper laughed and said leave it to the big rifle's if you want to run your dogs again
  24. no expert my self, but [bANNED TEXT] i,ve seem on dvd's you will need some big powerfull dogs just to hold em. the biggest of bullcrosses would have there work cut out . i would leave it to the rifle men myself
