    thanks lads, sorry matt did nt realise that a monarch was cage type,will give these ago cheers :icon_redface:there are 2 types on ebay slighty different tho both monarch types ,one has a weighted door the other a spring i think,or does nt it matter is one a copy?

    I'll keep quiet then. After all, what do I know about rats.... cheers for info tho mate ,but due to the location only cages will do so is there a cagetrap that stands out above the rest ?

    hi all need a cage trap for rats which ones are best ? i have seen a muti catch trap on melton market,also pressure plate cage traps ,had one a bit back not sure what its called but it had a spring door, bait hook and a back lift up trap door it worked well is there any better on the market ?how much? cheers is the multi catch any good ?

    hi all my 7 mo nth old whippet x saluki/ghd caught her first rat yesterday. i live on my parteners dads farm and her dad has a problem with rats in one of the sheds and asked if i could sort it, no probs said i .the rats were feeding on cattle cake so an after dark attack was planned i went with my lamp and dog about 9ish opened the door slowely and walked in the shed closing the door behind me i shone the lamp around and spotted an adult rat so did my whippet x i slipped her and she was on it in a flash, 1 bite, 1 shake, 1 dead rat. i was well impressed , let her rag it for a bit .quick shine

    i would say he s telling the truth,i new a fella who used to take roe out a park with a 32lb non ped whippet in the 70s he was out of work at the time so this is how he made a bit extra £££.he said thesame dog (brandy)also killed foxes easily, good size whippet though i think small one s might sruggle a bit though
