    hiya all..... my jill is now really coming into season swelling more and mroe everyday.. BUT there is like a little bit of green/yellow stuff coming from her vulva, i foned the vets and they said its normal, they discharge this when in season... i know there was a post a few weeks ago "my jill leaking green stuff" and the guy (sorry cant remember name) said he took her to the vets and they gave her an injection.... is this normal? should i take her to vets and what injection is it??? many thanks jazz

    natural flea killing powder for small animals.... " thats the name managed to find the bottle was £4.20 in pets@home..... its amazing cant fault it... fleas were falling of her dead while she was in the bath and since then which was over 2 months ago she still has not go fleas..... i would try this mate before u get anything else...

    well i have got another cage, for the hob..... i have the time, i have had a few deposits for kits when born, i am keeping 2 of them.... and i have still got a whil to research anything else i will need.... can u get frozen rabbits from the pet shop for snakes i no u can get mouse and rats, just wondering if u can get rabbits.... ill try and get out ferreting before the kits arrive, but i doubt it because its fustrating... what else can i fed them other than chicken... .. thanks jazz

    mate i am going to breed them no matter what because the feedback i have had from my friends is that its amazing.... what meat do u think i should get, as i have not got any rabbits and all rabbits down by me are full of young if not had the young.... i just put them in together just for a few minutes to see how she reacted, t first she tollirated it but then after that she wanted him off, but she tolirated it more than when she wasnt in season so ill wait another week and then try again... cheers jazz

    i used this stuff which is liek powder, i put it on left her in the bath, making sure she didnt lick or groom herself and within in half an hour no more fleas,..... and over a month on still no mre, ill try and get the name for u was 4 pound from pets at home..

    i cant take this year out as firstly i have been looking forward to it... and i have not got a vesectomised hob and nobody i no has a v hob so its going to have to be... i am not completly blind, i know a little bit but was just wondering if anybody thinks there is something i should no who has done it before... i have got several mates who have bred ferrets who are litteraly down the road from me, so if there is any confusion i can get help... also i have a 2 tier hutch like u see in pets at home and places like that but at the moment she is up stairs with the bedroom if u want to call i

    hiya all...... my jill is swelling more and more each day, and i would say she is about half now..... can i breed them now, i was thinking of letting them breed this weekend just for saturday and sunday, and then see if her vulva keeps getting bigger or if it stops and goes down... will she be fertile at this time and ok to breed or is there really no point with trying... sorry it is my first time breeding and to be honest i cant wait is there anything else major i should no.?? cheers jazz

    shows how much you no!!! ... only messing mate i thought that until i got mine now i want more of them .. .can some one answer my question please... if i keep jills from the litter of kits i am going to have can i get my hob vesectomised and use him to take the jills i keep out of season which will end up being his daughter.... cheers jazz

    to be honest i thought the same thing, but its more about convienience than anything else, not having to have different cages and evrything... thats just my opinions...

    good good, cant wait for them to breed to be honest... whats the average, you lot keep at the moment i got 2 and i got a 2 tier hutch which is like the ones which you buy in pets at home... so its not huge but its big enough..... at the moment i have got the hob downstairs and the jill up stairs....... but blocked off the stairs so they cannot meet but when she is ready which wont be long ill let them be together... how many would u say i should keep i was thinking of keeping 2 of my litter if everything is ok... also if i get my hob vesectomised he should be able to do the job with his daug

    in one of the books i read it sais inline breeding is good because it keeps, key features... i no in humans it sais that if you and one of your family members even if really distant, your children will almost deffinatly be deformed...(thats what biology lessons do to you) :sick: and i hope i get silvers from my litter this year, its an albino jill and polecat hob, i had no intentions of breeding but when i have to travel really far to get a vesectomised hob i dont realy have a choice, and i was going to get my hob vesectomised, but thought ill let him do my jill first then afterwards maybe
