  1. i didnt buy my s410 it was a bday present
  2. will take a chill pill mate.!!!!!! i was just saying as i dont know if any of you know this but in swales... its been a year now since a young lad was killed( someone i knew) because he was messing around with a air rifle. yes i know he shouldnt have been but the person who bought it for him is now facing prison charges as he was not a parent.. and if the guy who bought it just said no, then he would most proberbly still be here today.. so calm down matey!!!!
  3. well i finally got a pick and i added soem camo tape to it and it looks really nice with the tape and the camo sling aswell. lol
  4. lol they dont mind it, its the game keeper you got to watch out for lol.. but then his 2 labs are the worst so he cant really say anything. he is a great worker but as soon as he smells the pheasant thats it i wont see him for a while.
  5. ok then delete the thread mate it didnt answer my question anyway lol..
  6. no this one i got was bought new this year and used four times.. any work he has had done has only been don at litts which is the spring
  7. oh i dont know can anyone please just tell me about the screw thats all i want to know i am very happy with the gun lols they do have springs mate... as far as i know all pcps have springs in them. because on my scorpion you had to remove tha action and then under the 2 trigger bolts to get the plastic circle thing off the back where you can then adjust it using something wide like a chizel to increase the tension on the spring... so pcps do have a spring.
  8. why lol..... theres nothing wrong with it..
  9. yer it is mate they dont.... and yes its pcp but im not to sure about the spring, but when i bought it off a friend he said he got litts to fit in a stronger spring which gives it a slight recoil dont ask me... im only askin about the screw. my mates other s410 has had the same spring fitted and it also has a recoil whereas when it was standard it didnt have one. cheers jazz anyone answer my question
  10. hello i bought my air arms s410 the other day, its got a uprated spring in, which you can feel as its harder to load. under the scope mount there is a little hole, which is the power adjusting screw. now i want to up the power just slightly, (NOT ABOVE 12FT LB) i just want to know how much power increase am i looking at per a full turn and is it a small * screw driver which is used. also what is it increasing, the tension on the spring.? please i want to get it sorted and chronod for sunday as i am out with scuzy and i am looking forward to it.. i was out last sunday down my permission
  11. mate to be honest your not even old enough to use a air rifle let alone buy one... so anyone selling one i would advice you get parents concent,.... also you must not go on your own mate you neet to be with someone i believe over 21... anyway but anyway my aa s410 has got a little recoil but thats due to a different spring in it... i would personally go for a pcp mate they are much better all round. you would have to spend loads to get a good spring gun but to get a half deascent pcp your budget is fine.. go for the aa s400 mate cheers jazz
  12. i could never ever take my spaniel out when i go with a air rifle... he would chase everything away lol.. he is a good working dog though when beating he always catches pheasants...
  13. in the james mckay book it says its good to feed them fish but not oily fish like makrel somthing like plaice or trout. i often gave mine the trout heads and sometimes a fillet of trout. they usually at it all.. all the best jazz
  14. looks like a rivet to me lol.... so if i buy one of yours it will just go straight on no messing around? and it will deffo be quieter because mines not that quiet at the moment with the air arms silencer on?
  15. wa so your not allowed to shoot pest birds when their out of season? or can you shoot pests like jackdaws and crowns any time of the year
  16. my s410 has a rivet put through the silencer it looks like how would i get it off and what silencer would i need?
  17. i had the bsa scorpion 177 very good gun, i loved it... i only sold it as i didnt find the trigger very good and i got offerd a s410 at a good price
  18. i had the bsa scorpion which is the single shot of the t10 and it was a good gun mine shot well with cheap field trophy pellets. like 4 quid a tin. but i sold that to buy a aa s410
  19. you got to pay a fair bit for a good springer as an average one i dont think is very good in my opinion... go for a pcp rifle mate and over time get yourself a bottle.. ive had springs and pcps and dont think i will ever look back. all the best bsa ultras are good. webley raiders are good or the s400 are going around the 300 mark
  20. its not that loud when its loaded but without a pellet it just seems much louder lol.. dont know if its me or what also if someone has the s410 with the power screw on the siode which adjusts the power... what do you use to adjust it, i got told a small screw driver... (tiny) and also what power increase am i looking at per 1 full turn any ideas cheers jazz
  21. well i picked up my new s410 earlier from a mattes brother.. what can i say its mint.. he has used it 4 times and never killed anything with it.. it is the best gun i have ever had and proberly will ever have. few downfalls i found. it has a cheapy smk scope. yes its one of the better smk scopes with the light up cross hairs, but i had a lovely hawke scope which i wish i had kept but oh well.. and also it has a air arms silencer and it is wayyyyyyy louder than my bsa scorpion was. with a daystate silencer but a nice gun none the less. and i am going out on sunday to my mates permissio
  22. i dont really care about the monster bit. because like people say what did ferreters do before the locator was invented. there are ways of getting the ferret back without a locator even if it does lay up... but if you starve your ferrets the night before then feed them the morning on meat or dry so they will stuff themselves in order to make up for not getting food the night before, would this work. and only work 1 ferret then if need be send the other in? so work the jill and if she doesnt appear after a while then send in the hob. correct? cheers jazz
  23. one of the ferrets i got the other day was a bit of a biter. not to bad.. ebverytime he/she bited give them a tap on the nose with the index finger. i get harder and harder the more they bit but when mine wont stop but then i start smacking her on her back leg like you would do to a dog.. dont no if anyone would agree but its working for me and now she does not bit at all.
  24. mate can they be adjusted i could do with one of them for pheasants but they will need to adjust smaller... also do you do the 2 not the 4 aswell? cheers jazz
  25. when i say big warrens im not talking loads im looking at 10 holes mayeb 15?
