  5. are you talking about cross bred salukis ?
  6. don't think Lusaki salukis have been coursed much their more show dogs, seen vances salukis run and i know AB Fred ( if thats the one your talking about) was a good one don't know how good he was on small field tho, never seen faraah run but from what i've been told he was a top dog that could kill anywhere.
  7. same here mate thats why i like the desert bred type.
  8. as you know whin the best coursing ( under rules) dogs don't always make the best hunting (catch) dogs they have a lot of new imported blood but their other dogs go back to a lot of the same dogs as ours do.
  9. thats all the same blood isn't it?
  10. how many pure bred working lines or individual dogs that aren't related to other lines are there in the UK ? I can only think of one saluki thats not related to other salukis over here.
  11. there arent that many working lines in the country.
  12. [quote name='titan' date='Mar 24 2008, 12:56 PM' post='4721 khan' never seen a showring nor will he ever line a non-working bitch he's 6, 1/2 years old and is still as keen as they come, his bloodlines are genuinly 100% coursing and include some of the best saluki's ever to take the feild, he charges £250 for a lining as long as the bitch is working and the owner is old and wise enough to rear the pups correctly. Hope this has been of some help, good luck. is he still working?
  13. No mark you known for your drink problems LOL and by the way i should stay away from tescos for a bit, as they have a cctv picture of you up nicking plastic bags, its not a very good picture but your hair will give you away LOL
  14. yep thats the one leec, his uncle has the Rorschach filly.
  15. think its from years of breeding, best to best
  16. they don't know how lucky they are, as they have millions of acres of land that anyone can hunt on as long as they have a licence, every where should be like that .
  17. been invited out there a few times but never gone, will have to go one day and see these jacks run .
  18. what salukis did you see out there whin, was it a hunt you watched or free coursing.
  19. what an idiot statement to make you clown the picyure with khan is one i took its my bitch khan was bred by chris pemberton and was arguably in his day one of the best coursing salukis in the country as for being show blood hes all kizzy and pharoh i think 'Lycie is going by what he looks like. Hes not all kizzy and pharoh which is a good thing as most of the salukis around are from the same breeding. Seen vances ash & abbey run a few times good dogs as to khan being the best well there was a lot of good dogs around at the time and unless they meet you cant really say that.
  20. I've bolted one weasel one cat and two foxes one of which killed my mates ferret.
  21. hes looking good, crosses after the first cross seem to do a lot better than the first cross most of the time, so i shouldn't worry about the breeding as long as he does the job.
  22. i was think more before then, you see small whippet looking dogs as well as greyhound types in a lot of the old paintings.
  23. found two by that name, ENORM the Swedish one or his daughter Enorm Girl bred over here.
  24. were they i would say they have been bred more for a small pet, show and race dogs. Was the whippet first bred for work or as a small sighthound for around the house?
