The problem Ive got is Im going for a Half cross but do I want Border or Bearded Can anyone show me some pics of these in adult form or give me some advise so i can have a look. According to Hancock Theres no difference in either work wise, the only difference is Bearded can be a couple of inch taller and a little more head strong.

  14. I went to Hancocks the other day and they reckon so, they say collies will catch rabbits but the prob is i dont swop and change if i buy a dog i am the boss through its whole life and i bury it, so im puzzled as weather to go hancock or look for a beddie x whippet. As I say i bury my own dogs so i have it for 16yrs or so IT HAS TO BE THE RIGHT DOG., ive looked at a few in admag and dont know weather to go whippet x beddie or whippet x greyhound. Daytime rabbits is my thing some say collie x grey first cross will do it some say you need 3/4 grey IM CONFUSED
  15. Hi fella, i have a beddy/whippet 1st cross. He's 19'' ats, quite fast, full of determination, i use him for ferreting, but theres a downside to him, he would prefer to eat the rabbits that he catches before trying to bring them back So i have to get to him quick before he does this, which is ok because theres 2 of us and another dog. Maybe my fault cause he wasn't taught to retrieve when a pup. But he has a great temperament. Hes exactly what im looking for . Im after a bitch really as its what ive always worked are they any different to dogs???? Where did

  17. No Mate a bit too much Money I dont want one for nowt but thats a bit too steep (No disrespect to his pups im sure theyre worth it) Pidge, Wouldnt ever want to get all conchie on you, but the 6 I've had have all been rescued, all save one have been saplings, and they've all been fabulous. Of course people have a right to buy, but there are hundreds, literally hundreds out there, from 3 day old pups to prime of their lives adults looking for homes ... If you can face the hard time your conscience will give you, have a look at http://www.sighthoundsonline.org.uk/Links_Rescues.htm for s

  21. My own bitch does struggle to catch healthy rabbits day or night, though that's partly down to geography and lack of practice.... "yet another mxyi" I'd think again if you're mostly aiming for hunted up daytime rabbits, unless you live in a coney infested paradise. I'd also look elsewhere...... Cheers Mate excellent reply and although i do like the look of your bitch ill prob go elsewhere and go 3/4 cheers Pidge
