talked to a few blokes in the terrier game who say they prefer bitches as they seem to be more steady.some even said theyd never work a dog.iv only owned dog terriers so cant comment.just wondering waht all the lads on here prefer?

has anyone ever heard of a terrier called an irish bella or balla??i remember reading an old article in either an earth dog or countrymans an saw these dogs which were a red coulor and looked like small staff types with pricked ears, i googled them but nothing came up.any info????cheers.

you all sound like a bunch of kids....my dogs better than your dog.ha...just get on with what your on with is what i say and if someone wants to slag your dogs off and you know there wrong let them,id rather be digging a hole or even just walking the dog than sat here bickering over how good my dog is...but what do i know..happy hunting for next season lads.

we use mainly black dogs,the two russells we bought in,mine was bred locally, no special lines and the other we know nothing about his breeding thanks for that mate.yeah he sed he mainly used black but we had pics of a choc dog and he sed that he used a few of them too.

nice one mate.what lines are the russells you use from?.are they common in Ireland?i met an irish man at the welsh game fair and he told me him and his mates only use coloured dogs.

they are dodgey in plastic pipes mate.my mate wrote a letter into the earthdog this week about it.you cant knock em though mate there better than any other locators about.

Quick dig this morning.back on my mates permission were birds are being lost.pulled up [bANNED TEXT] beside a nice 6 holer collerd taffy up and away he went.Broke through to him digging on ten mins later opend up for him an ten feet up the tube he made contact another 3 footer and job done.Hardly a mark on the dog so checked a few more but no joy maybe next time.
