ye found out the lad was fighting the dog so thats out the window ,as for digging out of season your probably right a lot of lads were digging here all summer and the same c**ts wont be seen digging when they should be

try get plenty of squatters for him walk up as close as possible hold the dog up and let the rabbit run without slipping the dog .The dog should do summer salts ,do this 5 or 6 times and then slip him he should def go

bit of an update a mate of mine rang me to say he has dug to this dog twice ,first time the dog drew the quarry straight out of the hole ,second time he stayed for almost a whole day cause the lads could not get down to him so they returned the following morning .The only fault this dog has is that he used to fight with other dogs but apparantly he has quietend down .He is four now and i reckon i can get him for 150

if they are fed on pellets then i find a small head works a treat

take it nice and slowly when casting leave out short lengths of line .Dont whip the line when ye cast just take it nice and easy start with short casts and gradually get longer
