I used to dig out with ray cutler(rip)he was area rep for fmwtc south west at the time.I remembering him telling me the morning after a rescue for some lads in tiverton foxhound country who had had a dog stuck to ground for three days in an old disused badger cette. a jcb was ordered and the driver "phil odges" pulled out rods gave the depth and location, and proceeded to dig down as far as his reach would allow and the lads finished of with shovels to the exact spot where they found a dead fox and a terrier behind. This is roughly right from memory(several beers since then lol)but it was about
  12. bottom line. its only since i signed up to this forum that i realised how many people were intrested at what blood flowed through a dogs veins than what a dog does, iv obviously heard of the famous names nuttal, middleton etc etc but never knew so many people cared, obviously these dogs are good bloodlines but i dont really care what bloods in a dog, since iv been on here anybody that asks what dogs iv got i tell them and they ask what bloods in it what lines they from, the answer is i cant trace them back 20 years but i know the important part and my thoughts are i aint too bothered ei

  15. Dont know if the scents will help to get the earths used again, but when I make an artificial, I always put a dead cat in the end. Foxes love em for some reason, and they seem to get used much quicker. I have used a foxes coat soaked in a sealed bucket, with a wee vent in the top for snaring, and it certainly draws in any territorial foxes in the area. As far as fox scent sprays etc go ive only ever used them for training the dogs on, with hunting/tracking. Sorry if thats not much help, but its my pennorth worth.!! DnN where can we get our hands on a dead cat then ? you often se
