Smudge cheers; We had to work hard for them rabbits didn't have a dog with us so we were netting up holes that look used that had now't in . The mixy has knocked the numbers down.I used to go beating up Bowes and on Raby so know a few of the keepers.

Took a mates son ferreting his first time out on some land i got last year through a mate the keeper is sound when i phoned him to go up he said that mixy had killed alot of the rabbits but there was still a few here and there .When we got up there we walked to the first holes to try and there was 3 dead rabbits near the holes didn't look very good we walked a bit more and saw a rabbit go to ground got 2 out of there it was a slow day ended up with 7 and a rat that bolted and jumped in the river my mates son got it with a rock was a wet and misty day but the young lad thought it was mint :11:

Got 2 more this morning been trying to tell people not to leave food down for their hens all the time because the are just feeding rats but it goes in one ear and out the other .

FM he ran ok but he was still a bit stiff on that back leg when i walked them out today.

Out last night down the dales there was a good wind blowing when we set off but when we got down it had dropped right off had a look out with Buckshot and 2 mates it was nice and black but with the wind dropping off the rabbits were up and running soon as the lamp was on them so it ment we had to give the dogs longer slips. The dogs were getting runs and picking up a few rabbits my mates big brindle dog was running when he disappeared out of the lamp and we heard a sickening thud at first we thought he had hit a wall or a fence as we made our way to where he disappeared thinking the worst h

Had a look out with the lamp was a nice bit wind up with a bit drizzle till we started to walk the first field then the heavens opened and we got drenched . The red dog picked the first rabbit up and i sliped the white dog on the next one while he was running it he clattered into a corrugated sheet that was at the side of the field on the bottom he picked up the rabbit and came back we checked him over and he looked ok we caught a few more but as he was bringing one rabbit back he was lifting his front leg looked like he was feeling that knock he took so we packed in and made our way back to

My mate was asked by one of the lads if he would take his son out ferreting as he had been getting himself some ferrets and was itching to take them out.The ferrets had never been used but it didn't take them long to start bolting the rabbits the young lad was chuffed with them.We had a good day plenty of piss taking when rabbits were missed :whistle: had one half grown rabbit but no small youngn's my mates 3 year old loved it but was fast asleep on the way home.

I was talking to one of my mates who has a greyhound bitch in pup to a coursing whippet and we were wondering if the smaller rabbiting lurchers ' whippets' and whippet crosses will become more popular and if people will turn to the smaller rabbiting dogs more to stay the right side of the shit law . Been using a lazerlite with a red flip filter my old spare lamp is converted job called a hot spot not a bad lamp. when i am out lamping with my mate he has an old blue eye but has just been getting a lightforce i am thinking of getting one myself.
