Was told years ago not to believe everything I read, I would say in this case itwould've been good advice for you to have been given.
Have you heard of greyhound trainers talking about it in the past tote.
Yes he could be a complete idiot socks and yes he could be talking out of his arse. But let's try and imagine for once what if the trainer was a very well respected trainer in the greyhound world.
And was talking the truth.
Like I said I don't know her or the dog trainer but not everything written in books is bullshit.there could be some truth in what she says.and yes she may be full of shit and lies.
Who knows.
Me and green dragon have dogs out of the repeat mating that Kieran's dog comes from.and Kieran's dog has done a bit of stuff and done it well.
He's looking in great condition mate.
This is what's written in the book socks.i don't race greyhounds and never will race them I'm not interested in racing greyhounds.im only saying what the woman has said.
Yea that's the jab Peter parvo I should of said in the first post.interesting how the it effects dogs.if the the fighting lads have noticed it and a top greyhound trainer has also seen it.Greyhounds can't run on the track without all there vaccinations being up to date.I don't suppose getting hold of a vets book and putting some jab labels off a vial would be hard work DS.loads of fraud goes on.im just saying what the woman said that's all but it makes you think if top trainers mention it.
I've put a link up about the author mate.read it and then tell me if you think the same.(If it's in a book it must be true ffs lol.
She probably probably forgot more than all of us know put together.
The complete herbal book for the dog.
In health and sickness.
Ive read this book for 15yrs and this is were I read about distemper jabs slowing greyhounds down.after the author asked a top greyhound trainer the question.
Here's a link to the author it's well worth a read and well worth buying the book.http://www.whole-dog-journal.com/issues/9_7/features/Holistic_Pet_Care_15822-1.html
Well it comes from the mouth of 1 of the pioneers of feeding a barf diet. And a well respected woman.neil.ive got a book here and have read it since owning it about 15 yrs odd.

Just thinking about this now len.
If it's right that parvo jabs do slow them down and takes a bit out of them.
Then someone could spend big money on a hare dog and take the edge off it just by jabbing it with vaccine.
I don't know about other vaccination for the dogs.ive done the bull xs I've got now. but didn't do any other lurchers or staffs I've had in the past.

I was reading an old book I've got last night.
The author said she asked a top greyhound trainer about jabbing greyhounds and he said he doesent as it makes greyhounds slower.and kennels he knows who do jab have never had a fast dog.
Anyone else heard of that.
why would greyhounds need them to run on sand lol i been out in all weather with the lad. They seem to stay on no issues.never seen him adjust them when out????? I think if you run flint or have a dog with feet probs i think there a no brainer reallyI'm on the phone so can't type out much so here's a link would the boots offer protection for any of these foot injurys or do they just protect the pads. http://www.mikeguilliard.co.uk/id15.html
I think the only way them or any other boot would stay on a dog that can run at 30mph plus chasing game through wet mud and doing tight turns.would be to super glueing them on.
They obviously don't fit the dogs foot like a second skin that ie a latex glove would.theres going to be a fit of slack in them at least.
But they obviously will protect a dogs feet on Flint.
But the question I would ask myself are they worn by greyhounds on the track ?
