Yes he could be a complete idiot socks and yes he could be talking out of his arse.But let's try and imagine for once what if the trainer was a very well respected trainer in the greyhound world. And was talking the truth. Like I said I don't know her or the dog trainer but not everything written in books is bullshit.there could be some truth in what she says.and yes she may be full of shit and lies. Who knows. My mistake boys she is referring to distemper.which is in the same jab as a parvo vaccine.

Yea that's the jab Peter parvo I should of said in the first post.interesting how the it effects dogs.if the the fighting lads have noticed it and a top greyhound trainer has also seen it.Greyhounds can't run on the track without all there vaccinations being up to date.I don't suppose getting hold of a vets book and putting some jab labels off a vial would be hard work DS.loads of fraud goes on.im just saying what the woman said that's all but it makes you think if top trainers mention it.

Ive read this book for 15yrs and this is were I read about distemper jabs slowing greyhounds down.after the author asked a top greyhound trainer the question. Just thinking about this now len. If it's right that parvo jabs do slow them down and takes a bit out of them. Then someone could spend big money on a hare dog and take the edge off it just by jabbing it with vaccine. I don't know about other vaccination for the dogs.ive done the bull xs I've got now. but didn't do any other lurchers or staffs I've had in the past.

I was reading an old book I've got last night. The author said she asked a top greyhound trainer about jabbing greyhounds and he said he doesent as it makes greyhounds slower.and kennels he knows who do jab have never had a fast dog. Anyone else heard of that.

Taping Dogs Toes Up Before They Run ???

As the dog makes a high speed turn the toes will splay a bit and I would of thought will give the dog more grip traction.
