The very few kingfishers I've seen in the wild have amazing colours. I would like to replicate that to be honest with as close to the original colours as possible.

It must of been coloured originally surely. I would like it redone in the striking colours of a kingfisher to be honest.

Im no paint artist to be honest and am sure if I enameled it I would make a mess.

As soon as I seen it for sale I had to have it mate. I don't think any keen fisherman would turn his nose at it.. I'm quite fond of the thing to be honest..

I bought this cast iron kingfisher holding a fish door stop a few weeks ago. I don’t know the age on it. But the way the paint has faded I’m thinking it must be over 60yr old. The plan is to get it sand blasted and painted in the closest paint colour I can then laquer over it. And want the minnow coloured like a rainbow trout What type of paint should I use ? or can someone on here do the work for me.

Lol they are nice to watch I always sit by a big oak tree on the edge of the field.i have thought of buying a small spotting scope to view them and anything further a field.

That's it the eye doesn't seem to show up as much with the led. I use a tracer 170 variable.on the long fields it does struggle at that distance fully turned up but it does the job. I might end up with a 240 variable the way the eyes are going lol.

Awesome creature.theres a field about 1/2 mile from me.ive seen upto 10 hares down the bottom of the field all together.theres way way more hares around here than rabbits. It's a shame you ain't allowed to hunt them with a dog no more...
