  1. I caught one in a mole trap this afternoon. So why not use mole traps to them in their runs?
  2. We have two voles; the field vole and bank vole. Neither of which are rare or protected and I believe can be controlled as they come under "small ground vermin". The water vole on the other hand is locally rare and definetely fully protected. I have never trapped voles personally but have been asked a couple of times so the video was useful. The other alternative would be a live catch such as the Longworth trap and relocate away from human habitation.
  3. It's a homosexual thing I believe. Probably a good job you missed the end. From memory I think the hamster dies of Aids.
  4. That's the thread we are talking about. Never saw the s**t eating one thank god. So what happened to the Dutchman thread? Who deleted that and why? Who is the Taliban moderator? This is a good site but someone needs to moderate the moderators, there is no consistency and no accountability
  5. Then we are talking about different threads Millet and I apologise. So what happened to the thread about the Dutchman banned from UK entry that was deleted? I didn't think the rules stated that you could delete a whole thread because of one dodgy link. Perhaps the use of some discretion would have allowed an interesting debate to continue.
  6. The whole thread wich consisted of a measily 12 post's was deleted because they was nothing importent or worth reading on it..plus if i had just removed the offending post at the begining of the thread..none of the other post's would of made any sense and nobody would of had a clue what everyone was going on about.. .. Millet I didn't count the number of posts but before it was deleted it ran to more than six pages. None of what you say makes sense, the offending link must have been on page 6 but you say it was at the beginning of the thread. The fact you don't think it's wor
  7. My god, how beautiful it is when reality finally cuts through the politically correct crap that this country's "liberals" believe in. For a while I thought the whole world believed the lie. Thank god (my god) for common sense and good old Aussie Sp*nk! Brown! it's your turn now, get your balls out and show us your sp*nk
  8. Isn't there a big difference in deleting an unrelated offensive POST and deleting an entire thread. Or was it the convenient excuse the mods wanted to remove an uncomfortable thread?
  9. Maybe you should read the thread, another mod removed it quite rightly after it degenerated into a mess with one member posting disgusting video links, this member has since been removed from the site.......... By disgusting, do you mean more muslim atrocities?
  10. Have the muslims got their own moderator on here? The Dutch thread seems to have been blown up. It seemed to ticking over without any problems or did I miss something?
  11. It may well be that non-lethal methods would be ineffective or impracticable in this case. That is a decision that you have to make after an assessment of the situation and the various control options available to you.
  12. I would suggest this one would be more applicable and could cover your damage to wiper blades.
  13. Haven't you heard? It's called global warming. And they wonder why people don't take scientists seriously anymore
  14. I'll get my coat (anorak ) On a serious note, it might be sh*t but sometimes it's the only clue you get. It confirms ID and the fresness or otherwise is useful to determine how often and how recently the quarry has passed by. A good pile of poo is usually an excellent place to set a trap or place bait. Even whenh you don't see it you often smell it.
  15. Just checked my reference book on poo and it quotes hedgehog droppings as 40mm long so I'll put it back in the frame. Still looks a bit square on the ends though which is more bird like.
  16. Looking at those sizes again 40mm x 10mm is far too big for hedgehog any way. Pushing it for a bird (forgive the pun )
  17. Did you prod it or poke it Rolfe? It lookes a bit damp for a hedgehog, they are usually dry and crumbly. If not it looks a bit bird like to me. I agree it doesn't look like mustelid, too squared off at the ends.
  18. Thanks for all replies. Looks like a DSLR then. I like the quaint idea of a film camera, maybe B&W but I suppose the convenience of downloading digital images and including them in documents and reports and even forums makes them just too compelling these days. After all I'm a pest controller wanting to use photos to enhance my work rather than a photographer. Who makes the 300D and 350D?
  19. I think it went down to 25 birds in mid Wales before someone realised we had a problem (gamekeepers - oops only kidding - NOT)
  20. I don't think they are suggesting that it's going to take 4 weeks to catch the moles. I expect they will have to collapse the runs and level the pitch for H&S reasons whixh will take the time. Interestingly moles now have between 4 and 8 young according to the mole expert. Only if they have two litters which would be rare.
  21. Look, I've told you before - stop calling me gorgeous Bloody pikeys
  22. I was around when he was but I still didn't like his stuff - sorry (girls music )
