  1. you get good and bad in all breeds, a good dog is not a bad colour, find a working strain and thats half the battle, but no guarantee.
  2. im a walking injury list lol, always getting hurt these days, next time you can separate them!! his lug is fine, he is none the worse for it, which is a bit worrying!! it was the best night yet, but i missed most of it trying to take the pics
  3. nice one alimac, been at the same this week with a few keepers, its part of there job.
  4. i was out all day in the hills with the dogs and had just come home when i got a call from a farmer to ask if i could come out as a few rats were about, TBH it was the last thing i felt like doing as i was cream crackered. A quick call to the other two lads and a meeting time was made and we set off, the farmer told us they were in the round bales and that her would move them for us so we could get at them with the teleporter. i am glad we went as it was our best tally to date, normally this farm hold very little so it was a pleasant surprise. heres the pics........ bales
  5. deffo not sika mate, the reds got in there in the last few months due to water damage bringing the gate down. been out th last 2 weeks at the dens with keepers, not a lot of joy, quite compared to last few seasons, are you familiar with the area?
  6. It was a very nice sight sat and watched them for a good ten mins, barked at the red to see if i could get him to come out of cover a bit but he wouldnt budge, in the end we just turned back and left them where they were.
  7. out walking the pup tonight and luckily i spotted these before she did and slipped her on the lead, quite unusual seeing them together, there was actually 3 red stags and 2 bucks but i couldnt get them alll in shot

  10. Ok my jill has just come into season, im wanting to mate her to keep a few kits back for myself and i have already got homes for another 3 or 4, but when is the best time to mate her, is she ready now? she has just come into season in the last 2 days. thanks in advance TJ

  13. i have bought on a fishing forum i go on a stffed fox carrying a magpie and two badgers playing for £200, and they are extreemly well done, cant wait to get them!
  14. i must rewire my lamp i stood on the cigar but twice now and put it into bits, there were loads more but with the one lamp a lot got away. still a good craic all the same.
  15. cheers frank shes had a few on the lamp, this was her first time in daylight, and she didnt let me down, her recall etc was spot on.

  17. went out today with my mate to try the pup on some daytime rabbits and to get her working with the ferret. Its the first time she has done this and i was pleased how she performend, at first i held her until one bolted and tbh we lost a few this way as i wasnt quite awake , but laterly i let her free and she did well marking and staying in the vicinity like a pro. the place we went is loaded with rabbits but equally loaded with warrens, so there are plenty of game but also plenty of holes to find sanctuary in, so it was pretty testing for the pup and at times a bit frustraiting as just
