    Excuse the ignorance, but why should we believe you? The law relates to any 'pit bull type' dog - so I have to wonder why ANYONE want want a lurcher that resembles a pit bull type? Sorry but i had to interfere :whistle:.....it is theoretically very possible to distinguish different dog breeds from one another by DNA, just as it is possible to seperate individuals ( 1 man in a crime scene by DNA.....DNA forensics work very well and used extensively on humans today (or even to trace individuals ethnicisity) ).     i think a terrier should go to ground and be able to hunt, and not go to ground unless told to do so. in my case my terrier wouldnt go to ground but shes a brilliant hunting dog. never have to worry about her going to ground. dont worry "die~hards" she has been spayed WHAT................................

    the style a dog works is important to me . i want to bolt/dig i nessesary a fox. with as minimum fuss as poss and as little damage to the dog as poss. i also would like to keep my earths in good order so for me a baying terrier is the order of the day. i have also seen so good nondiscript little russells that could hold there own with most breeds underground i would be interested in anyones opinion on what is THE ULTIMATE DIGGING DOG THE ULTIMATE DIGGING DOG can u really define that any one breed is better than the other they all have bad and good in my opinion people like th

    i am going to buy a bellman and flint as i am pissed off with the deban mk3 also pissed off at deben at the poor costomer service they provide or should i say dont provide anyway i was wondering have bellman and flint reduced the size of the collar meaning the bit attached dont know name of it and were is the cheapest to but one cheers stevie

    personaly mate at 15 months he is still to young(imo)i have seen a fare few dogs ruined by starting to young he might be showing great eagerness but to much could put him off i would give him a few then let him sit to next season and you will have him right cheers stevie

    100 per cent right i started of in the back yard with wooden fences which they jump very well when i took them to the feild to wire fences they were cagey . start off with a wire fence that its comfortable with and when doing that steady just find one thats a little bit bigger and so on it will come. the same as lamping my bitch would jump anything six bar gates for fun during the day but and night when i started off lamping she wouldnt jump them like anything a bit more work on the lamp and she now jumps the gates at night for fun which i think is a must for lamping foxes. as it is a lot less
