  1. A quick update on how my dog is recovering. Gave the dog Arnica 30c for around 2 weeks and he has been confined to the back garden for around 3 1/2 weeks  seems to have made a full recovery but in the past i have been to hasty with him. Thought i might give him a little run on something soft, so off to the the beach we went. Got up in the morning and he was fine, so have had him down to the local playing field to stretch his legs. Next morning he was fine, looks as though he has made a full recovery :D but time will tell. As you may guess with having roughly 4 weeks off he is unfit
  2. Heard a lot of good reports about keepers mix, after using sa37 for years i tried my dogs on keepers mix. They have been on it now for about 6-7 weeks and what a difference in their coats, especially my rough lurcher :D Thought they looked fine on sa37 but keepers mix gives them that little bit extra ;) ;)
  3. My son has this cross, She is used for bushing and flushing with my lurchers. Plenty stamina and courage. Gets on well with other dogs not like some terriers i have had in the past. All in all she is a crackin little terrier. Fox was shot ;) ;) My son only payed £. Both parents are workers, so £250  is a bit on the steep side.

  6. Got up this morning to take the dogs out for a mooch. My youngest lurcher was limping badly on his front right paw. Had a good look at it and cant see anything wrong puncture wound or grass seed/foreign objects anywhere :hmm: pressed all the pads and one is really painful :( put a little bit of pressure on the nail and he yelped like f**k. The only thing i can think of is he was running around the garden like a loony at around 10pm last night. I took him around the block at 11.30pm last night and he was fine. Im thinking maybe he has caught his nail when he was running around and it has
  7. I wouldnt worry about it my sons terrier does the same thing. Its seems to be the more rotten and smellier(spelling) the better
  8. I have 3 dogs one terrier(bitch) and two running dogs(dogs) my terrier came into season around nine days ago and since then my running dogs have lost there appetite. They are just picking at there food, usually they wolf it down as quick as they can. They are fed a raw diet tripe, chicken, beef and fish. They have also just been wormed. They have lost a little weight but are still full of energy. Is this something to do with the bitch been in heat and the sent she is giving off curbs there appetite? Cant really remember if this happened the last time she was in heat. Anyone experienced this?
  9. They are WANK got a pair last September and they are shagged. Sole is started to come away on the sides so you get wet feet, also the tread is nearly worn off
  10. I take it you feed the dog on dry food...I feed all my dogs a raw diet and have messed about with the amount until im happy and the dogs look in great shape. When im not running them in the summer months i feed them 2.5% of there body weight and during the winter months up it to 3%. Hope this makes sense.

  13. Running on a bunny into some reeds where there was a lump of old rusty metal. Caught himself on it which didnt look so bad. Took him to the vets just to be on the safe side, After investigating damage was internal, so operating was needed. Dog was layed up for 10 days or so and has made a full recovery Cheers

  19. Tried this a while ago with all my dogs as there seemed to be some good reviews on this feed. Personally i didnt think that much of it so went back to feeding raw.
  20. Well just picked him up looking a little sorry for himself. Vet said he had ripped all the muscle inside, so he has had to sort that out and put a drain in. Back to vets on Saturday to take the drain out then a week later to get the stitches out if everything goes ok. Well the bill is £250 :o so far, but i must say pet insurance is a must, because a small injury may not be as small as you think.
  21. Well went out for a mooch this morning to the local country park to stretch the dogs legs. Well to cut a long story short the terrier flushed a rabbit out of some bushes, my young dog who is 18 month and has done well this season was straight onto it. The rabbit ran into some reeds with the lurcher right up its arse. Then there was an almighty yelp :o The yong dog came out yelping and with his tail between his legs. "Oh feck" ran over to him and could see there was a puncture wound at the rear of his ribbs. Got him home as quick as possible to inspect the damage. Didnt look that bad, but dee
