How will it be carried on a phone or a card or what? Some of the best years I had were travelling back and forth on the ferry never any passport just come and go. And when trouble arrived to you just say you were in either of the opposite countries at the time. The world is getting smaller fast

Will be interesting to see how this plays out. I’m irish and live in Ireland but also have a NI number and claim a UK pension and also own property in the UK but my driving licence and whatever else is all Irish. And I’d bet there’s a sizeable number of people in the same boat as me how do you police that?

It should hold up a couple more weeks then they’ll drop it off before Christmas like they always do because they know the rush will be coming.

You’ve hit the nail on the head there. Can never understand people in the later years of their life sitting on money instead of helping the next generation along. Instead leaving it in a will and letting the shower in charge get their cut instead. By the time I’m 67 I reckon my sons will have taken over most of what I have and good luck to them

Depends too on what you’ve been doing if it’s tax avoidance or proceeds of crime. Once they get there claws on you your not getting away your as well to make some sort of settlement and learn from the mistake. The days of opening a bookies or laundrette are gone you haven’t a hope it’s some geeky teenager in his mothers attic who’s coming up with the new ways

Tens of thousands were raised every Saturday night and Sunday afternoon for the Irish cause in pubs across London and the UK throughout the 70s and 80s not counting what was coming from the US in the same way. The Gaza vs Israel thing is a fight to survive whoever loses will just cease to exist. The Irish thing was different it was only ever going to end one way and it still will and everyone knows the outcome just can’t say when for sure

Cheers Scotty I’ll Do up my check list. I have a good generator may just stock up on plenty of petrol. Can deal with a lockdown id be happy enough with that have everything I need here. Never trusted the bank always keep a supply of money squirreled away here and there. Don’t know about a tsunami but I’ll do my best to plan oh ffs and much much more have you any time scale on all this. I reckon you’re getting all in a flap over nothing pal. God bless

That house prices would return to the 50s/60s and everyone would get a brand spanking new house and their standard of living would go up.

Funny how it goes I was only saying on some topic a couple of weeks ago for all the stuff that went on years ago and the hatred that went with it and by god for a while there was some hatred. We will probably end up back to back trying to fight our way out in the future. I’ve no ill will towards anyone but I do think a United ireland will happen in the next 10 years

For as far back as you can research there’s one thing governments have always punched down on and that’s people that want to come together for the common good. If stopping all the immigration will unite people behind a flag and cause them to question more and more the waste of public money and corruption in government they will not let it happen. If you can have everyone looking in one direction while you gut the public services and raise taxes and increase debt you could say you’ve the perfect crime
