It was thought for example the celts brought the language to Ireland but there's references to places and descriptions of places that go back in our language that predates well before the "arrival" of the celts.
Common understanding up to now was 10,000 yrs ago we were all hunter gatherers living in nomadic tribes etc....but recent discoveraries in Turkey show that up to 12,000 yrs ago there were very established, settled cultures buildings sophisticated monuments....
So DNA science and modern archeology is debunking alot of what we thought was true.
It has always been thought that the cradle of humanity was Sub-Saharan Africa, but skeletons discovered in Morocco are the oldest remains of homosapiens ever found, they confirm that we are much older than we once thought.

Or how about Queen Elizabeth 11 being a direct descendant of the prophet Muhammad through King Alphonso of Al Andalusias wife Isabel ?
Cheers.
That's what's fascinating, go far enough back and we will all share a common ancestor. That's why I have to laugh when folk get uptight when we discuss human history.

What happened to the story that most Europeans can trace their ancestry to Ghengis Khan and his sons ?
Cheers.
I think it's a bit of a myth, his lineage is very rare in Europe.

It's quite sad and interesting our history, we have this romantic idea that we descend from the people that made Stonehenge, when in reality over 90% of the gene pool was replaced by people's from the Steppes. History has shown throughout the globe, nothing is set in stone, and the population of any given area very rarely is a reflection of the past.

so why would some African punter from The west coast of Africa beat him with inferior eugenic capability ?
I'm not saying they would beat him, who can truly know, but, he is of the same genetic ancestry as those from West Africa, who on the population level happen to be blessed with more fast twitch muscle fibres than say you or I for example. He doesn't have better or worse genetics than them at the base level, he just has great physical attributes and has been raised to be an athlete by one of the most competitive nations in sprinting history.

No it’s a genuine question, who would win?
Bolt, of course, because he holds a physical advantage over his sibling despite sharing the same genetics.

They are only as good as the database and I believe Ancestry has got the largest database.

Someone who says "you need to read up" isn't starting a conversation in the right way.
I'm saying I don't have any markers from what you've just posted. Can I say I'm pure Briton etc? No I can't. Just trying to have a normal conversation.
Please, for once keep it to the topic. It's not political, racial or anything apart from history and knowledge of our families
I think the chances of someone alive today being of pure Celtic blood is slim to none, whatever that actually means, because the further back we go, the more entangled we become. Still, there's a lot you can get from these tests, and they are accurate as I know of a few members that are my closest genetic matches and the data says so as I haven't really done anything on the genealogy side of things, I was just interested in the genetics.

If he had a twin who led exactly the same life and the same mindset but was two inches shorter who wins ?
Who's saying different, but, again, he's just a freak outlier. He has a brother and sister, why aren't they prime athletes, they have the same genetics?

In the case of bolt I haven’t made that case.
as in the above post , he is genetically blessed to be the greatest sprinter everno training will make that defecit up .
you need to be of equal or greater physical ability to even get nearthe case of African American athletes in nfl / nba , which I discussed , Is another point entirely
Of course he's physically gifted but it's just random chance that he's the fastest man ever. It's not like he was bred down from a line of out and out athletes in the same way a champion greyhound is bred.

The privileges don’t make your legs the perfect length or height
And neither did slavery FFS lol, remind me of the records his old man or old lady set, what about his grandparents?
You are seriously suggesting that it was slavery that gave him these biological traits when slavery was what, 15 generations max? If there is any biological advantages for Western Africans, it certainly predates slavery.

Bolt is regarded as the fastest human ever
and no one will beat his records without chemical assistance . As he is the perfectly aligned human to conduct his sport .
the idea of comparing him with a Kenyan who will come from a village where running is a cultural thing , is quite frankly ludicrous.
read a book called “running with the Kenyans” and you’ll understand why .
its a perfect Storm of physical attributes , the culture in an area of Kenya and the altitudeWe are not comparing him to Kenyans, we are comparing him to people of his ancestry, West Africans, which, given the right upbringing, could beat his records.

Co-incidentally, Nana Akua is on GBNews right now talking about her heritage, she is, as Boisy would say , as black as Newgates knocker and her family is from Ghana, but she was born in Newcastle and insists she is a Geordie and English.
She said she has no cultural attachment to Ghana and no “Ghanaian feelings”.
So , is she a Geordie, is she English ?
Cheers.Genetically of course not but she is British, if it was down to mere genetics then you, me and many others can't possibly be English because we have some Celtic DNA.

The mapping I got was way more focused than that mate, it actually went to a specific area.
Mine does when I zoom in, my matches are mainly from the Yorkshire region, which again makes sense.
