The farms are killing the rivers round here. A local stream that once teemed with sticklebacks is now an open slurry store. All the little farms are gone and have been added to the big farms, they just intensively farm grass for silage. Then the spread the slurry. Rivers that 10 years ago were full of fish and we were talking about seeing sea trout again and hoping for salmon returning.....now are back to the industrial era stage of just being dead entities. Big chub and 2lb wild trout disappeared.
